Jasmine and I hit the streets to find some garage sales, and make some guac. Being the winter edition of the quad-yearly garage sale, the participation tends to be lower than in the warmer months, but we still found a decent amount of sales. *note: the Pomona Community Health Hub is no longer active

Why are the neighborhoods so into garage sale regulations? You'd think they might put more effort into other things but at least it's funny.

Some of it has to do with preventing people from effectively running a resale business out of their house by having garage sales every week. I personally like the citywide format because it makes it worthwhile for the shoppers and sellers alike since it concentrates the traffic to a single day or weekend.
