This was my second visit to Ponce De Leon Springs in Florida and this time I had my GoPro HERO6 Black in hand. I took panoramic shots to create a virtual tour and captured some awesome moments enjoying the spring with my daughter and grandchildren. As I ventured underwater I took in the beautiful underwater landscapes, fish and even a brown water snake (non-poisonous) that surprised me! Thanks for watching!
This beautiful spring is named for Juan Ponce de León, who led the first Spanish expedition to Florida in 1513-as legend has it-in search of the "fountain of youth." Approximately 14 million gallons of pure water emerges daily from the Ponce de Leon Spring. Spring water emanates from the aquifer deep underground keeping it at a cool 68 degrees year round. Never made it over to Ponce de Leon, but frequently went to Ginnie and the other springs around High Springs, Floriida. There's nothing like the Florida springs!

I've been to several of the springs of the FL panhandle. I love all of them. This is the first one I ever went to as a kid about 30 yrs ago. So beautiful.

Yes we finally went here too! My skin was so soft after swimming in the cold water! We didn’t bring anything to eat so we left and went to the “lunch box “ a few miles away from there. It’s a road side food truck. Good BBQ sandwich.

I live about an hour away from this place and haven't been here in the longest time. Used to go there 3-4 times a month and eat at the sugar mill for breakfast. Love being in the water but cannot stand touching the bottom or the sides of the wall because it feels a little slimy. I'm always wearing water shoes just because when you have to get out you have to put your feet on the slimy stairs and I get so grossed out. Hope you and your family had lots of fun.

Last week I went there after visiting DeFuniak springs and I was expecting it to be nice and refreshing like DeFuniak Springs but as soon as I jumped in the water I was proven wrong

Are you using your GoPro Hero 6 with or without housing. I read lot of complaints for leaks and GoPro not owning to it. And am being in India i don't think GoPro will ever going to cover.

Way different and much smaller than I remember Deleon spring being. This looks like the blue or silver springs not Deleon.

Definitely Ponce De Leon Springs State Park... it's not very big at all. Nearby Morrison Springs is much bigger.

@@chrisharris1969 Not in any Springs that I am aware because the water is so cold. The flesh eating virus thrives in warm waters, so you're probably safe there.
