I love capturing my snorkeling adventures on my GoPro cameras and sharing them with you. I snorkel the beautiful beaches and natural springs of Alabama and NW Florida. I have snorkeling videos from Orange Beach, Perdido Key, Pensacola Beach, Destin, Panama City Beach, Morrison Springs, Vortex Spring and more! I will be uploading videos often and even more during the Spring and Summer months. See you in the water!
@shannaprissyleamon1311 thank you so much. I appreciate that, and we're doing well. I've got lots of video footage waiting to be edited. I just need to take the time and get it done. Thanks for your support... it means a lot. 😁
Hey there... not silly at all. I've not seen any snorkeling, but I suspect they're out there and just keeping thier distance. I've also seen sharks with my drone at many of the local beaches.
Panama City Beach has fantastic snorkeling right off the beach at St. Andrews State Park. Destin has great shore snorkeling as well at the East Pass jetty and NorriegoPoint. There are also artificial snorkeling reefs in Destin, Fort Walton area... Navarre Beach has one of the largest reefs. 😁👍
If a little girl isn’t afraid to go out there with all those sea creatures, I should give it a try. I’m only here for a few days. They said it’s gonna storm tomorrow.
This was Aug 26th. The water can be very clear during winter but can also be clear in spring and summer, depending on the tides and weather. I have found that the water clarity in Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Perdido Key can be very hit or miss. I see more consistent water clarity in Pensacola Beach, Navarre Beach, Destin, and Panama City Beach.
I hear good things about the Palm Beach area Heron Bridge, but I've not been. I would suggest checking out "Snorkeling Travel Friends" on Facebook. They have people from that area who can give you a lot of information. 😁
@@thetonemanoh yay! Is there a spot you would recommend more than others? We have 2 kids ages 8 and 11. I’ve been watching your snorkeling videos. You do so good explaining where to go and how to get there! I appreciate that so much. We’re coming end of August from MN so a sea turtle would be amazing to see!! We can’t wait!😊
Awesome video! Went to visit my dad down there last october, and we ended snorkeling all the down that jetty wall to the end! I didnt realize how many different kinds of fish and the sheer amount would be down there. It was a little windy and choppy and almost got throw into the wall a few times but we had swam out on the east side. First time snorkeling and had a blast.
@thetoneman Yeah it was a good time for sure. Although reading some of your other comments, we probably shouldn't have went out there with just flippers. But hey we made it back 🤷♂️
Thanks for sharing this, but why isnt there any plant life growing on the artificial reefs??? Coral is so beautiful and it would draw more sealife to the artificial systems.
Thanks! The growth can vary, and there are more corals now than when this video was made. Each time I visit any of the local reefs, they look different and it is exciting wondering what I'll see 👀 😁👍📷🤿🪸🐬🐟🐠🐡🦈🐙🦀🦐🐚🪼
Great Video! Thank you!! I love that you put the addresses. It makes planning easier. So do you park at the address shown above then the snorkel spot is near there? This address: 100 Gulf Shore Dr, Destin, FL 32541. Thanks so much for your response.
Thanks! The address is actually for the last condos on the left, but the Norriego Point parking lot will be directly in front of you at the end of Gulf Shore Dr. You can also park all along Gulf Shore Dr. on your right starting at Osteen Beach Public Access. Once you park, just walk straight ahead towards the beach areas. Currently, there is construction in the area, and the parking lot is closed, and you have to walk to the left of the parking lot to get to the beaches.
The turtles on the area are always so friendly and eager to swim with us im glad the Florida government has done a good job protecting these amazing creatures
