How do you bond a resin pool with only the walls are steel and the frame, deck, steps are resin or composite? I can’t seem to find a answer, I know that the 8 gauge wire and specs for distance and depth, connect to pump that has bonding plate and hardware already installed, and motor is grounded with said wire and rod.
Every one of these is going to be a little bit different, your local inspector is your greatest resource Definitely work with your local inspector, and follow everything that's laid out in the video and everything in 680.
Thanks Perry, we've been having this issue with some pools we've been doing and the installer company not realizing they needed to have this on non-conductive pools underneath paver stones.
Great video. Urgent question for you regarding a vinyl pool which has steel walls and aluminum bullnose coping. We are about to have the concrete deck torn up around the pool to redo bonding. ( we get tingles when touching coping and handrail). Everything on equipment pad is bonded correctly and verified. The contractor will remove 18-24 inches of concrete and run the copper wire and make a connection at the four corners and back to the equipment. We’re using a very experienced builder for this. My question is, with multiple pieces of steel frame and aluminum coping involved in the frame, is four points enough? How do we ensure all the aluminum coping pieces will all be bonded?
