I’m sure I’ve probably told this before here, but my grandpa built a 10 acre pond back in the early 70’s. He had is stocked with 5000 fingerlings of blue cat. Those fish were fed every day! We had some huge fish in there. After grandpa passed we kept it up and we were feeding 10 gallons of feed a day. Everybody wanted to come to our fish fry’s!!! Mom made the best hush puppies ever. Thanks for sharing this stuff. Brings back a ton of memories!!

Personally, I can't eat fish that has worms in it. It's perfectly fine to eat, as long as its cooked to the proper temperature. If I catch fish with worms in it, I freeze it, label it, and use it in my traps during hunting season.
I dont know if this is why she did. But on one of her merch videos I suggested that she check out about the Arm's merch building and DJ working their merch.
I was watching another video from a Canadian sheep farmer, Lady, she mentioned your name arms family homestead, she was in her tractor and talked bout your new merch. Building! Thought I'd let you know ! Her name is Sandi Brock and the video is vlog #803
I just love love love Summer times At The Arm's Family Homestead. It was so good seein Emma an Huston together again . Now all we need is a Jacobie at the creek fishin an swimming with y'all. I'm sure he would have totally caught the big catfish with Huston . God Bless y'all 💯 ❤ 🙏 🇺🇲
This looks like the perfect 4th. Oh, and Sandi Brock from Sheepishly Me mentioned Arms Family Homestead on one of her vlogs. They are building a building and she was checking out the Merch Building. So cool.
Sandra Brock over at Sheepishly Me said your warehouse was awesome. Loved how you did an apartment on one side. Then shelves and such on the other. I enjoy both your channels. Both are fun to watch. Awesome noodle fishing. I have never seen a fish like the one ya'll caught. Looked like a crocodile in the mouth. Don't blame Daniel for being so cautious when removing the hook lol. Houston always gets so excited when he catches a big fish. Died laughing when he finger tickled those creek monsters. 🙂🦋
Your innovative approach to pool noodle catfishing, and the subsequent catch, clean, and cook process, demonstrates your creativity and resourcefulness in outdoor activities. Your ability to turn simple materials into practical tools for fishing showcases your adventurous spirit and love for exploration. And I am a floating village life from Vietnam.
I love it when you and your family spend time together. I think that with faith and family formulate a great foundation for those who will become tomorrow's leaders, whether in the good they do for Christ and their fellow men! May God continue to bless you and yours always!
So happy to see Daniel and Houston out on the water again it makes me so happy to watch your videos and watch your guys grow. So excited to watch your channel grow even more. Thanks for all the smiles and giggles. So happy for you guys and your channle.
Hey fam!! Not sure if yall watched Sandi on Sheepishlyme but she & Mark is also building a merch building & she was admiring yalls this morning on her channel ❤❤ just love how other channels shows love to others, matter of fact that's how i came to hers yrs ago because Arms channel was talking about how Sandi hoof trims her sheep lol 😂 ❤❤
Hello Arms Family, I have said it befor and I will say it again, I LOVE your fishing video's To hear Houston get so excited to catch a gar, even if he throws it back is the best ever! Houston has the BEST reaction when he catches ANY fish!! Thank you Houston, You make my heart happy when I hear your reaction when there is a fish on the line! Love and prayers sent to all
all was SO cool until the storm..darn it. BUT! I learned to use a pool noodle to fish for a big fish. What memories you have made. You need a gold star for being a wonderful Dad!
Daniel I hope that someday you and your family take a trip to Canada in the native Sioux lookout area . And go fishing and enjoy some walleye. There is a resort called frog rabbits on Abrams lake. If you fish right in front of it in the third week of June you can catch trophy walleye after 7 pm until 11 pm no stop action. You can also hire a guide that can take you to the English River which is connected. And if you are lucky enough to get up to the waterfalls almost every single cast you make will catch a walleye. I went five years in a row. What a great Father's Day gift that was for me a lifetime of memories.
I'm not new to the channel but newly subscribed, and I live my farm life vicariously through you and a few other homestead channels here on RU-vid. I have to say though, I love the way you and Houston bond while fishing, the video that first drew me to your channel was the one where you and Houston too the 'Beast' to the pond and camped and cooked what you caught, it brought back memories of when me and my daddy went fishing and camping. Up until I became disabled I still camped and fished and ate what I caught, such great family fun as well as just a little get away from the normal everyday life of being whatever you are, I know you are homesteaders now I am speaking in general. I do still fish and most times it's catch and release only because I don't have the energy at the end of the day to clean the fish but sometimes I do eat what I catch. Stay good Houston and cherish the moments with dad and mom as well as sister, you are a great family. Thank you for allowing those of us that can't do what we dream of doing, do it through your channel.
Looks like you had a great july4th.A holiday with family and friends is the best. And yes we all love your process warehouse. I was watching Sandi Brock on her channel and they were even saying how nice your building was. They are building there own in Ontario Canada now.
Nice catching! We use gallon water jugs to “jug” - what I like about using them is that you can fill them up with some water to slow them down in the current or if it’s windy or use not as much to have them move faster. I personally like to use a big blue gill and about a half jug of water to “control where the bait swims. Hope that helps someone out and good fishin to ya!
Hey…Sandi Brock Canadian Sheep Farmer & her husband are building a Merch Warehouse. She mentioned interest in your setup on most recent video. Can you contact her to see if she has questions? They’re great people like Ya’all. ❤❤🎉🎉😊😊
My uncle used to run a trout line across the little Kentucky River. I loved to go out with him in his Jon boat to see if he caught anything. Catfish quickly became my favorite, and still is to this day 60 years later.
Dang Daniel!!!! I have one of those Prestos! It came with a thick glass bowl, & I've only used ut as a Crock Pot. It does have a fry setting on it too. Learn something new every day.lol.
Glad you guys had a great time, even though you got interrupted by that thunderstorm--here in town, it ate my brother's television set, and on a holiday! Anyway, we got him taken care of. My dog nearly had her annual nervous breakdown, but it's nearly back to normal here in town. Fried catfish--mmmmmm!
And you're right, soaking catfish overnight in salt water takes out some of the muddy taste! Takes me back to when my dad would fry fish! Glad everyone had fun!
Love the channel! Our grandfather lived at Eufala and fished almost daily for blues. He would do a mustard soak overnight before cooking them. Would tenderize and take out the dirt taste. Best fish I have ever ate! Miss you that man and his fish fry’s.
Come here to watch your lovely family and enjoy your adventures and to to say you was mentioned on sheepishly me channel your merch build has become a hit in Canada ❤
Just recently took my 10year old son catfish jugging for first time. We caught 11 catfish and he had a blast. Jugging is fun. I’m not the one to set them out and leave them a whole 24hrs with no watching them as I think that’s a bad habit ppl have and it makes a mess. But jugging in general is always fun. The golden crispy catfish are always tasty! I had never ate flat head till last year and let me tell you it’s so delicious! We baked ours in butter and seasoning and it was sooo good! It’s great that you and Houston gets to spend quality time together on the water. Those memories will last forever! It was good to see Emily and I hope she is doing well! God bless from western Ky 👋
They are better frying in pure hot lard but if you are scared cook them in peanut oil but it's hard to beet fresh fish anyway you cook them God Bless Y'all and have a blessed day 🙏🙏
My family and I have caught our largest catfish by jug fishing! There is nothing like setting out ten or so baited jug rigs and looking back and a jugs hauling butt like on Jaws! Absolutely an awesome way to catch a mess of cats! Thanks for another adventure!!
Good job Houston. Love your excitement when fishing. It makes watching all your videos a favorite pastime. I love fried catfish also. Gotta have hush puppie. Enjoy your afternoon and evening. Tell Weston he needs to make some more videos. There are so many young guys making a living now with youtube channels. It's crazy. A definite sign of the times. Lots of love coming your way from NC.
We have a 24 ft. Pontoon. We do the PVC pipe noodle jugging set up. We have had more fun!! It’s a great family thing to do. We haven’t caught many fish….but setting them out at night and then going on the hunt to see if we caught anything is so fun. Especially if you’ve caught a fish and he takes the noodle all over the lake. It’s fun at nite time.
My son caught a little 7” gar and brought it home where it lived in his aquarium with guppies for a short time then it graduated to goldfish for a year when he decided to set it free as a 2’ long gar who outgrew its 15 gallon aquarium
Finatic fishes the trinity in texas. He was an inch short from the world record. I can't remember what kind of dinosaur fish he's after. It's slipped my mind at the moment... That's what happens when you're old and worked an 8 hour day 😅
Glad to see you are using that new bass boat. Also glad to see you had the sense to get off the lake whew the storm was approaching. I had a scary experience in my boat that taught me about storms on the lake. Be safe my friends.
Good video, make you a pvc pipe with a elbow on the end to help reach out and hook you line on the noodles. Cap off each in of the pipe and it will float. I've caught alot of catfish in ky on noodles. Good fun and memories with you family and friends
Hello Daniel and Deejay , glad y'all had a great fourth of July. I just wanted to let y'all know that I was watching one of my other channels today and they are in Canada their name is SHEESIP ME. And I Heard the woman her name is Sandi Brock and she said she watched one of y'all's videos with the New Merch building and she would love to have something like that for her Merch also.. just thought I'd let y'all know that you have people who are other creators and they live in Canada watching y'all's channel. God bless and have a great rest of your weekend.
I remember catching gar on the Missouri River with my dad. We hated them. My aunt and uncle have fried fish dinner every year at the lake in MO. Lots of family and friends do show up.
Stopped at a tag sale today and long and behold they had a professional model stainless steel deep fryer for only $5. Much to my surprise it works amazingly well and my kids did some mozzarella sticks and tater tots this evening. I'm going out first thing in the morning crappy fishing at a place we always catch some nice slabs and I'll be having my own fish fry tomorrow. My mouth is already watering just thinking about having some fresh crappies for lunch tomorrow. ✌🏼✌🏼
Your always having fun catching fish. One thing i fear is with that strong sun giving you issues later in life ?? Too many people getting sunburnt and worse.
Omgoodness I love noodling.. we used to go noodling in the pond. We would throw them out on one end of the pond and fish on the other end. They would come to use a lot of time.
It's so much fun to watch you and Houston have fun. Love me some Houston. He and I share the same birthday. He's one cool dude! You and DeeJay are cool too. 🙂🙂🙂🙂
Daniel, you’re really smart man to create your own best friend. You’re very lucky to have your son as your best friend. Did you guys could go hang out together God bless be strong. Stay well. Love you.
That looked like a lot of fun on tge lake with family and friends… Houston’s excitement is adorable when he catches a big un…that looked tasty fried up… I love fish…❤
