Bed crashed down on back and now I can’t figure out how to put it back on tracks. There is this nasty little box shaped metal thing that won’t let me slide it back in. So I brought the bed platform inside and tried tracking it that way but there are two metal stops preventing that. No idea how to get it back on tracks now, any thoughts?
A guy has a video showing how to do that....don't remember his channel. I saw when searching pop up camper repairs....If come across it I'll let u know....seems he is a pretty big channel....very good videos. If I remember right he has to drill the stops out and replace with screws...but it's been a awhile since I saw it. Yea...beds crashing happens a lot. I could tell when I first bought the sun valley Coleman the factory supports were not effient, unless u weigh 110 lbs and don't move when u sleep...we know that isn't always the case:)
@@laffilmfest3759 I think taking off the plastic stop that us actually inside the slides at the ends. They can screw out and give you more wiggle room to push the floor past the little metal obstacles.
Nathan that sounds like a good idea! If u happen to try it and it works put it on film, I would enjoy watching the video, that's how a lot of youtube channels start out...with an idea. Thanks for ur suggestion! :)
Nice idea, but in the first one, shouldn't the bottom board be turned on its side, where it's strength comes from? It wouldn't bend then, like the top rail you have. Even if you double the 2x4s. I like the 2nd one.
Yes u r right! 2x4s are always stronger on edge, I think a couple factors came into play there, the 2x4 sat better being it was flat laying on the trailer tongue, and the bolts I had availible in my shop were just long enough to go through the trailer and flat 2x4, I think I considered how my 2 leg supports would sit on the flat 2x4 also and I figured by using the factory coleman supports also it would be plenty strong enough, thanks for ur suggestions, u sound like u too have an inventive mind :)...enjoy this late summer time!
They all are going to be different depending on ur camper....a 2x4...some bolts and nuts...and that would get u started...u kind of just have to hold the wood up there and mark it out...once finished they support the bed nicely :)
Yea.....that was back when the virus was really catching fire in the UP of Michigan......I didn't wear it much but a big group of folks had just stepped in front of me......I could smell them so I figured I could get spit spray my way.....poor UP.....they were hammered twice so bad. Thanks for the comment on the mod and for dropping by :)
