It is a crying shame a great performer like this has to cast his most extraordinary pearls not before swine but before virtually no-one. Good thing there is this recording now for a wide audience to appreciate. Thanks for uploading.
Wow, yea, this is truly sad. I will make a prediction, however. Within the next 2 years, we are going to see a resurgence of straight-up classic rock/blues guitar returning with a vengance to reclaim Her rightful spot as the champ.

Guitarists on youtube are like a dime a dozen, but every once in a while you find someone that breathes new life into a song. From the opening of Hey Joe, he did something slighly different than most when they play it. It kept me listening and im glad it did. Popa's got a brand new fan!
I HATE when players try to cram as many notes as possible into a measure just to see how many they can ,,,,,,,,,, but this man is a total note smith , every note tasteful and perfectly placed . His syncopation is spot on . He is truly one of a kind , and sorely under rated as evidenced by the lack of an audience . The bass and drums are more than equal to this task . GREAT JOB GUYS !!! AND I WOULD like to thank DAVES PLACE for the camera work and posting this great show on th Tube !!
Exactly my opinion about this performance! And then the energy that continues throughout the entire performance, sometimes even adding a little extra! Also those moments when the bass and drums kick in! Great!
At first I thought you were going to say something negative…. But you didn’t and I couldn’t agree with you more. He is a master of guitar, what a band!
Do you know... All of you, people of US... Popa Chubby is a Star 🤩 in Europe ??? !!! "Nul n'est prophète en son pays", as we say in France ! What a great time it should have been for Popa... to play "Live" for hundreds or thousands of people having great fun with his way to play the guitar !!! As he did a few times in the "Coopérative de Mai" in Clermont-Ferrand and many other places in France and Europe !!! I know there are many great guitarists in USA, people never heard about... But... Popa really is one of those you should follow and see "Live" !!!
Damn...where are all the people? The place should have been packed...everyone there had their own private concert! Lucky them. Wonderful show, such talent...Thanks!
This is one of the finest blues/rock concerts I've ever heard in my 74 years and I've heard some of the greatest. Popa Chubby is amazing and, IMO, one of the greatest guitarists alive. This concert is a masterpiece by a true master. Popa seems like a helluva nice guy too.
Ted Horowitz (Popa Chubby) - guitar, vocal ; Max Barrett - bass ; Stefano Giudici - drums 00:00 Hey Joe / 10:52 If The Diesel Don't Get You Then The Jet Fuel Will / 17:20 Grown Man Crying Blues / 34:40 69 Dollars / 42:20 Over The Rainbow / 51:10 Rock me baby / 1:04:29 Nobody Loves Me Like I Love Myself / 1:16:00 Sympathy For The Devil (Chubby’s story) //
The drummer's name is announced at 1:24:31 as Andre' K?????, which can not be mistaken for Stefano Giudici. Normally I do not pay much attention to the drums, but this guy's drumming pricked my ears with its energy, precision and accentuation. He deserves to be called with the right name.
This is my first time hearing Popa Chubby, and I have to say, just when I thought I wouldn't hear any more interesting interpretations on Hendrix, I'm pleasantly surprised. I really love it when a guitarist has a nice relaxed style. You guys rock... thank you very much.
BEING THIS GREAT AT PLAYING A GUITAR IS REALLY LIKE HAVING A SUPER-POWER.AND NO NEED TO THINK I'M I'M YELLING AT YOU OR ANYBODY ELSE HERE.I JUST PREFER TO TYPE IN BIG LETTERS.IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE FROM ME TO YOU.
Crossroads USA & Co. !
Just found this guy, Wow! how did I miss you? Love your arraignments, putting licks together in such harmony. you are a Master. Soulful voice and emotion
Total respect 👍👍👍✌
Moi aussi vu en Bretagne a Binic et plus tard encore autre endroit en Bretagne c était divin artiste méconnu mais vrai respect triche pas enormiss e merci papa so long to u❤❤
I've been watching this guy since I've been 11 years old. I play harmonica professionally or used to now im a father that stays home watches over his boys. What is soon as these kids get old enough I'm going back on tour! Papa chubby******* love you man! I play harmonica with a Wawa pedal and a low amperage tube amp at full blast. It allows me to play notes just like Jimmy and I can follow guitar lead like nobody's business. There's not too many guys they can play Beethoven's 5th on the harmonica verbatim. You're one of my favorite artists ever. Oh and just to say I've never seen somebody tour as much as you! You've worked your *** off for like 30 years bro! Kudos. All those years on the road takes its toll. You are the king! Besides James Cotton mojo Beaufort
A real pleasure see Popa Chubby again, playing at his best..... I've seen him live several times and he has always... always up up an awesome show. Thanks for sharing this great video!!!!!
Bin sehr positiv überrascht! Kannte ihn bisher kaum.
My friend tom introduced me to poppa chubby and the black coffee blues band and i have been a fan ever since. He is an iconic legend.😎 And musical genius. This has to be one of his greatest performances ever. just listen to the guitar talk.😎
Outstanding.. Just got done jamming myself and looked at tv and saw Popa Chubby Full concert. . I am happy I hit the play.. There was a bonus when I noticed the big Chief Oshkosh Beer sign on the wall behind Popa.. Me being from Oshkosh and all. I still have some old labels from that beer somewhere.. Anyone else pick that up?... Damn I wish I could play like that...
Wow, just finished watching the full show, Popa Tubby has a new fan from Cape Town, incredible axeman, I enjoyed this gig so much, thank you for posting and sharing this talent with the world!! The rest of the band were amazing too, the percussion was immaculate and that Bass Guitar gave me distinct Andy Fraser (Free's base guitarist) vibes, simply fantastic. Bravo guys!!
Finally clear - information from: pete's music to shed : That amazing drummer is my brother Andrei Koribanics ... Greatings and thanks send to Brothers Koribanics 🙂
This is a guitarslinger with a capital G. I saw him a few times in the 90's and begin of this century and every time the audience flipped out . Every time he plays the same song he plays it in a different way. Great player. My everytime favorite is still Nobody knows you when you down and out. Great, simply great.
I just saw him 2 nights ago in Norfolk CT, we've known of each other since the middle 90s and, gosh, it's hard to separate the joy of listening from the joy of watching him make the music that makes my goosebumps hurt. I would love it if he was home more than once a year. I met his lovely wife and she's lovely!
Fisrt time I get to know them. I can't beleive there are so few people attending such a great sounding performance : band blends well, room is fine, gear correctly set. A bit sad but thanks for letting me discover such a gem. Wouha !
Thousands of klms away while sitting on a beach in tropical northern Australia while just discovering this and adding to my playlist while fishing. Life is a never ending journey. And I’m in my 60ies. Thank fuck for modern technology.
