Honestly the saddest song in the game. I think the name “don’t wake the angels” probably is referring to all the souls of the children that are still here. Makes sense because it plays once you restore power to playcare in home sweet home.
I honestly thought this was just puzzle music, but after listening to more of this I can understand more of what this was supposed to represent. Really like this overall.
i feel like since this song suddenly started playing in the naptime rooms, i think this was a lullaby that was played for the kids when they slept. even though theres no more kids. 🙁
This song is one of my favorite types of horror. It truly captures hopelessness. It's not big, bombastic, and scary like the chase scenes. It's depressing. It makes me want to cry hearing it, thinking of someone coming across this place, finding the poor children who have been left to eventually starve to death and eat each other when the food runs out. The orphans who had no one to save them or notice they were gone. The story of this game is nothing but heartbreaking, and this song captures that perfectly. I imagine it playing at that part in a movie where the main character has completely given into despair and gives up, crying alone.
There’s a bunch of emotion in this melody. 1: Sadness. ( 0:01 ~ 0:27 ) 2: Confusion? ( 0:27 ~ 1:46 ) 3: Realisation ( 1:46 ~ 2:00 ) 4: Grief ( 2:00 ~ 3:00 ) 5: Acceptance ( 3:00 ~ 3:53 ) I don’t even know what any of these emotions are supposed to be and why I’m writing this, but you’re still here, so you must’ve read at least the first thing.
Upon reading these and thinking about it after playing Chapter 3 I like to think and this is from my own headcanon, that the cartoon version of Catnap in the Afterlife, looking back at his final moments with the prototype, realizing be was betrayed by them, and thinking back to the good time he had with his Critters friends and regretted the decision he made towards them, the innocent and the guilty
When I heard this in the credits, I felt relieved and able to breathe again after a long journey of discovering all the madness and cruelty of this factory It turns out that the suffering experienced by children here is worse and more tragic than we previously thought They came here for the hope of life, but unfortunately that's not what they got R.I.P all Orphans child
This song plays after the first 50% of the power is turned on. I like how interesting the name is because it plays after you turn on the power that wakes up the orphanage, and considering the name, it's really sad because it plays for the children who died inside. (now little angels)...
this song represents what im felling after my great grandma died, a mix of joy and sadness, joy because shes in a better place, and sadness because ill never see her again
Sound design is my favourite part of game design, and this track is incredible. It exudes a bittersweet and melancholy energy, it reminds you that this was a place where possibly hundreds of children lived and spent their formative years - and where possibly hundreds of children died, to a monster who was only a child himself. The piano in the middle feels oddly nostalgic and hopeful. For only a minute, the horror fades away into peace - the rest of a hundred tiny souls. And somehow, that's more chilling than anything.
Poor catnap,i still dont understand if he was betrayed or if he sacrificed to the prototype (Edit: guys plz stop repliying because its killing my notifications, thanks) (Edit 2: OK I UNDERSTAND HE SACRIFICED JUST STOP) (Edit 3: i think i just started a war)
It’s either going 2 ways: 1. Prototype straight up betrays him 2. Catnap sacrifices himself to Prototype The way Catnap responds to Prototype holding out his hand isn’t much like trying to grab it, he was doing his worshiping pose again like when he was at the shrine suggesting he was kinda just accepting his fate, following the bidding of his savior till the very end, so I believe it was #2
The second one atleast is not as painful as the first one because ain't no way are dude *proto* killed Catnap with no honour after so much worshipping.
POV: *After CatNap is done burning* *Prototype* (tone: Gently shocked) : Theo! What have you done my boy. *Catnap* (tone: sad explanation) : I'm very sorry my lord, prototype… *Catnap* (tone: Normal) : Now, whatever fate you're going to give me; I accept it, even if it's the time for me to become your part. *Prototype* (tone: Normal) : Oh! Well… Okay, as you say so… *Catnap Sacrificed*
bro same, they really sold me on the idea of these care bear looking fellas that loved each-other only for something to go completely fucking south and have them end up killing their own kind, a dark yet interesting twist indeed.
I like to think this song is meant to embody the feelings of the protagonist as he explores the ruins of this once happy place, finding out what happened to these poor kids.
0:28 this legitimately makes me feel like the villians are the good guys. Catnap is just a poor young boy who got transformed into a monster by the workers of this factory. The hour of joy didn't happen because the monsters attacked. It's because the kids wanted to be free. They didn't want to be monsters. They wanted to be kids.
In one of the parts of the soundtrack it looks like one from chapter 1 called deep sleep, just like the name of chapter 3, I found that detail interesting.
This is that type of music that if you listened to it for long enough, staring at a creature like that… you’d probably question a lot of things about yourself.
@Icy_gorrila It's okay. No one has to ask for permission to speak, fucking stupid that the whole "who asked" shit is this big, it just shuts down an entire discussion and it's not productive in any way.
@@YohTaiSai420 no calm down I was talking about my self I said I know that no one asked but same I meant no one asked me but same think more positive next time
All those experiments, all that death and what has it done for them all. Nothing but sadness and loneliness. (I know and understand that this is a game but try to also get the emotions you can see and feel.)
Home sweet home was by far my favorite, even for the puzzles. Than again I am a big fan of puzzle games, but that combined with the atmosphere and the vibes, the fact that this part of the game made me genuinely tear up, not to mention to winding corridors before it stemming from games like PT, I loved all of it.
Starting out about 1:10, the deep sleep track from the chapter 1 OST is heard. I find that track playing a lot because so far, I’ve heard it in this track and faintly in the background when we are in the cable car and Elliot announces and talks abt Playcare.
Poppy Playtime is definitely better than Five Nights At Freddy's, all the characters that died or are still abandoned in the factory make you feel very bad for them, especially characters like Catnap, the game makes you want to help them or be able to change what that happened somehow, a feeling that a FNAF game is definitely not capable of giving you
to be fair, chapter 3's story has been more interesting then fnaf's lore since after fnaf3 and im saying this as a fnaf fan since 2014 and i used to hate poppy playtime lol@@radyan657-op4kt
I think u guys did an amazing job on this song! It really gives me chills down my spine! It’s suspending and creepy, and gives me vibes of just poppy playtime in general. I also think that chapter 4 will without a doubt will be everyone fav chapter so far! Love u guys! Keep up the great work!♥️
I am very appreciative of this soundtrack and what it represents. Even though it has a dark undertone, it makes me feel refreshed because it's the type of music that lets me think.
Considering this starts playing after you turn on the power in home sweet home This is probably a lullaby that they gave to the kids. Even though there not there anymore and it's probably why the sound is called " don't wake the angels "
This song actually captured the feeling of being there before, of seeing this place in a better state, that besides everything that happened, there were happy memories. But not _yours_ , the happy memories were from those children, but even so, you felt *_somethinhg_* towards them, even with all the experiments...there were happy memories here, where...where are they?
MAN I wish catnap was still alive (even if the fandom just straight up refuses his death). There’s still a inner sadness when he was taken away by the Prototype man. All I wanted was just ONE chance to pet him… this games so mean to me,,,,,, (But this also gave me a reason to favour purple more as a colour and it totally isnt catnaps fault...)
be patient dude they're working on a lot of stuff right now tons of other games, chapter 4 not to mention the poppy playtime movie too they'll get to it at some point
25℅ Relaxing 25℅ Scary 25℅ Sad : You feel like you are going to cry or one of your family members is going to die 25℅ happiness : It's like you've achieved an accomplishment ❤❤❤
i think CH6 will be called "dont wake the angels" why? bc the ending theme of CH1 was called deep sleep and CH3 is called deep sleep and in the CH3 menu music some notes of that song play so im think the name of the chapter after the next 2 chapters will be called "dont wake the angels"
im pretty sure the next chapter will be called onwards and downwards (OST), because at the end of chapter three, the player and poppy go *downwards* on the lift, and by *onwards* im guessing that means continuing our journey in the factory.
Doesnt this song sound afther you return the light to Home sweet Home? Maybe they put that song to help the orphans sleep and still plays itself even if everyone its gone
sound is very good for all this tragic and dark story😢. dark like souls of monsters, who killed and tortured children that transformed to a totz than. Who is a really monster there?
