Fun fact, my techer had me for Secret Santa and she gave me The Cruel Prince - then I accidently got paint in it! So then I decorated the sides with watercolour paint... then I painted a galaxy on Zenith...😏
Oh Sasha I haven't even STARTED Lady Midnight which is very shameful for me😂 Hopefully both of us can finish the trilogy in 2019, its one of my need to reads next year!
I love it. I'm a super supporter of the DNF. My most recent video is actually a Let It Go parody about DNFing because I have no shame. I DNFed the Mortal Instruments series because I just got distracted by having so many others! Cruel Prince is a tongue twister, but I actually finished that one and loved it. Great video!
I will yell at you to finish Lord of Shadows and then to read QOAAD because I LOVE QOAAD!!:D Need to read Children of Blood and Bone and ACOWAR as well! I would be down for the readathon:)
Uhh isn't the title a little off? DNFing is when you drop a book because you aren't enjoying it, not because you started and got too busy to read. Love the 2 and a half black screen jam session at the end!
DNF means Did Not Finish...but that doesn't mean that you're never going to finish it. Just because the standard meaning for most people is that it is for giving up on a book that you aren't enjoying, doesn't mean that it is the only meaning. I've set books aside, DNFing them for a bit, because I wasn't in the mood for that particular book. I've had several times where I have temporarily DNFd a book, getting back around to it a year or so later and giving it another attempt.
I am slowly reading War Storm. Once I finish that I can read second book in the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy and start reading TMI (first time)
Honestly I got to thank you because you were the person that made me wanna read stalking Jack the riper ( and I was going through a major reading slump) so because of you instarted reading again.
It's alright Sasha! I haven't even STARTED Lord of Shadows! It's been sitting on my shelf since it came out. I keep putting it off for some reason so now I'm going to have to re-read Lady Midnight in order to continue on!
I've followed you on Twitter for a while cause I just follow a lot of authors, but this is the first video of you I've watched! Great video (and soon your books will migrate from my wishlist to my bookshelves!)
I just read A Court of Thorns and Roses series a couple of months ago, and I loved it. I had trouble getting through the second book, but I was glad I did because the third book was AMAZING!!! I hope you find time to finish A Court of Wings and Ruin because it is well worth it.
@@sk8tie Really? I just found the second book really frustrating. The first book drew me in, and the third book made me a Sarah J. Maas fan for life. She tore my heart out with the third book.
I DNFd an Ember in the Ashes, I just read half of it because I kind of hate all of the characters, and I was bored af... Can someone tell me if it gets better, please?
I actually did finish one book I was reading in December but didn't finish: I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson. I had finished The Sky Is Everywhere so I got that book (checked both out at the library) but the due date was sooner than I thought so I didn't finish it. I didn't check it out this year till a few days ago so :) finally finished it!
That black screen music at the end was AMAZING 😅 I don't intend to read the books I haven't finished cuz they're bad .. I never stop reading a book I like 🙂
Sasha... Cassie is starting two series next year The Last Hours and The Eldest Curses TEC is going to be about Malec's trip after they start going out (at least in the beginning) The Red Scrolls of Magic is to be published April 9th 2019
So relatable! I have the same problem but they always happen to be the last books in my favorite series (probably because I never want them to end). I'm so ashamed to say I did it for Opposition in the Lux series, City of Heavenly Fire, Mara Dyer, Penryn & the End of Days series, and probably more! :(
Omg you need to finish escaping houdini! its so good and there is so many cute scenes between Audrey Rose and Thomas!! Also when i first bought The Cruel Prince i binged it until the last 4 chapters and then i never finished it :/ i keep meaning to but i left the book back home so won't be able to read it until i get back from uni
A court of wings and ruin is fantastic in my eyes, I haven’t read as much as you but I love this series, it’s my fav! ❤️✨ hopefully you get to it. Also Rysand is for sure my new book husband, gawd he’s 👌🏻 mmm
I bought Lord of Shadows the moment it came out however I wasn't able to read it right away and it kinda got buried in my TBR. And now I bought Queen of Air and Darkness but now I kinda forgot the story so now I'm rereading Lady Midnight. Hopefully I get to finish this series in 2019
Hi guys! I just finished this book "School Monitor" by Alex Dunn. I'm recommending this to everyone. Trigger warning for bullying though! I just think books about bullying deserves to be known in the world :)
I didn't finish Prodigy, Clockwork Prince (I'm currently reading it), the 5th book in the Maze Runner series, and I am number four. I didn't finish most of them because I was reading more books at once, not because I didn't enjoy them..
I am the same with A Court of Wings and Ruin. I've got a readathon I'm going to re-launch in 2019 called "Finish-it-a-thon". It's basically the same as your readathon. Finish a series, finish books you started but didn't have time to finish, finish your TBR, etc. I'm looking for some hosts for 2019 actually, so if you or anyone in the comments is interested, let me know by replying! =)
Natalia Ramlal I just didn’t like the characters, particularly the main character(she was sooo. childish). The plot was all over the place, and the guy was controlling
Hey everyone! I have a question about a book: Maybe one or two years ago I was looking for a book series to read and I found a book (that is part of a series, although it might not have been the first book of the series) that I read maybe the first two or three pages of but didn't end up further persuing. I kind of want to read it now but I can't remember neither the title nor the author. I think I remember it being a YA historical fiction (or maybe dystopian?) book in which the main (female) character steals something and ends up escaping by running across the roofs of the village / city. I don't really remember much else. But I feel pretty certain about the running across rooftops part. Or maybe she just jumped onto one roof and then climbed down and ran through the streets. Does anyone know that book?? Thank you so much in advance!!!
Yea all of these series I either haven’t finished the series or haven’t started it. I did finish The Cruel Prince though but I want to reread it especially knowing that The Wicked King is the Perustopia book club of the month!
i am not finished outlander volume 5... I don't know how to get back into the series since I didn't touch it for around six to eight months :) any tips ?
I just got Zenith and it’s a signed copy. I got it from a used book store yesterday. I love you. You are my favorite booktuber. Also should I start a Booktube channel because I have a book Instagram.
YOU HAVE TO FINISH ACOWAR... I was so into that book that i read it in a day. Its amazing. And you also HAVE TO READ LOS 😍😍😍😍 Prepare the tissues for the ending 💔😭
The DNF a thon is a great idea! I’ve been reading Stephen kings IT for a year now, and it’s really good. But for some reason I put it down and just haven’t picked it back up.
I’ve DNFed Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Renegades, and the Cheerleaders in the pasted month. Not because I didn’t like them. They are all really good but I just get really distracted!!!
I would love to do a dnf-athon. I still have yet to finish both of Sarah J Mass's series though I'm almost done with Kingdom Of Ash I put it down like a month ago and have just not picked it up again.
Coming from a serious SJ Maas fan, can I say that Idk why I was so surprised when you said “A court of Wings and Ruin.” Like: my brain has linked the cover with “Acowar” and saying the full title out confused me 😂
I am still reading the Outlander series By, Diana Gabaldon on book #5 The Fiery Cross loving them but taking my time with them as book #9 comes out sometime in 2019.
I still have about 300 books that I need to read. On another note, the main reason that I don’t finish reading a book is that the story does not grab me. And that is the only purpose one picks up a book in the first place.
I was so behind on reading and have so many books I got half way through so I brought them all on holiday to Iceland with me and finished reading 2 already hoping to finish the rest in January 2019
I've always been so annoyed with myself for not finishing empire of storms because it was so far into the series that I was actually quite enjoying. To make it worse I almost didn't finish heir of fire but managed to pick it up months later and push through the rest of that and all of queen of shadows pretty quickly only to give up 100 pages into empire of storms 😡
Totes didn’t finish Children and Blood and Bone either. For me it was one of those books that didn’t sink in as I was reading. I would read a few pages and have no idea what just happened. I do want to try again though. Down for the DNF’a’thon. - Nici
Why does everyone keep saying that ? She has found a recipe and it sells, why wouldn't she keep writing in that world if she loves it ? It makes us fans happy so who cares ?
