abookutopia why are you sooooo amazing sooo excited for project red, ive started my own project, project m and e because that’s what you said the last two letters were of the title, you said that in a live stream on instagram soooo excitied omg it’s gonna be great
I'm also starting to write my first book! One of my favorite RU-vidrs that is popular and not a booktuber is Faze Rug but I'm not sure what book I would recommend to him.
I'm confused, Sasha was shading youtubers who didn't write their book but then does a 180° and compliments Zoella on "writing" her book. No hate just confused.
@@elizabethiman7442 I think the book was advertised as fiction, if that's what you mean? The problem is that it was secretly ghostwritten and they didn't credit the other author until they were caught.
so Zoe is a youtuber who wrote a series of meh fictional books which got wildly popular because of her youtube fame. glad to know you were not the only one who accomplished that. the power of youtube indeed...
Sasha, this video is literally everything. Recommending Rick Riordan to Shane is accurate - from one set of Gods to the God of RU-vid 😂 Zoella would definitely love Jenny's books. Jenna Marbles is freaking epic. I loved this video!
yes she did. Inn nthe videos where she wrote her first book she allways showed (in her vlogs) her editor who is allways refered to as her "ghostwriter" in articles. I don't want to start a fight , really not! :) I just wanted to say that she was allways very open abput having a editor wh helped her bring her thoughts into a well written book. :)
Sasha in the beginning „no shade towards all RU-vidrs but some shade towards RU-vidrs who don’t write their own books“ Sasha 3 minutes later: „Zoella wrote her own books“ 🙃❓🙃
That's inaccurate. The ghostwriter wrote the first one but in order to ghostwrite, you have to have someone feeding you a story to put into words on paper. She wrote the other 2 herself with an editor. Considering her trilogy outsold JK Rowling and she came up with the concepts and executed them with a little bit of help, she's still pretty darn successful and if I'm completely honest I loved the books.
Her books were successful because she has a large RU-vid following who bought them, not because the books were well written. And unlike JK Rowling and the Harry Potter series, I HIGHLY doubt that the girl online trilogy will still be so loved 20 years after publication.
Haha this was fun!! You should totally do a part II 😍 there are sooo many RU-vidrs to pick from ! I was surprised Lily Singh wasn't on this list tho, she's such an OG. But great idea !
I love Jenna Marbles I have been watching her channel since 2011 and I like seeing her grow as a person through her different videos and I feel like I have grown with her. I am now adding The Exact Opposite of Okay on my tbr!
Somehow this video gives me the idea that a booktuber should collab with someone that does room design/styling (don't know the right term) to decorate a library or bedroom. It would be a help to alot of booklovers with no space to get ideas.
Oh Sasha the things you come up with 🤣 this was such an entertaining video and a good way of recommending us the books as well instead of the normal recommendations videos... You're amazing I love you 😘
This... This... This... I have been replying to your tweets about this & finally!!! I think this can be our ticket to be fully immersed in the RU-vid community. It is just so awesome to see videos wherein it is ventured outside BookTube or to other niches. I was screaming hurrah almost the entire time & I am supah proud & inspired. Like I said this gave me a video idea but I'll put some Filipino spin, flavor, and twist in it. By the way I am so curious to read Handbook of Mortals. Great video gurl! Hurrah! #liftbooktube
sasha why do you have like 3930224 different versions of your novel? :D and i don't mean the amount of copies, I understand that, but they're all a little bit of a different size :D
I personally don´t think it´s okay to talk shit about another person, even if that person has said and done some really shitty things. Other than that, I loved this video. Great idea!
I really loved this idea and was really excited for it! However some of the stuff you said I just didn’t feel was...grounded? You had a lot of points on which book would go to which person, however when you mentioned David and said that he probably wasn’t much of a reader, it kinda felt weird. Almost like you were shaming nonreaders and more so that they weren’t valid in getting a real recommendation. Like with Shane I would’ve recommended a crime ya, like one of us is lying or what we saw... a good video over all. It just felt more judgmental than tea spilling
I think Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett would be much better for Shane Dawson than the trials of Apollo. It's more mature, adult and the humour in it would really blend well with Shane's. (Also it's not aimed for thirteen year olds)
Sasha you should watch Alisha Marie! She's my favorite non booktuber you're my favorite booktuber! But I highly recommend Alisha's vlogs! They're so good!
