Can we just all admit how good Gavin is as a drummer !!?

There is only one Steven Wilson & Porcupine Tree. God thank you for allowing this group to come together because they are absolutely my all-time favorite group after collecting music for 41 years now.

This band is the best. I mean the best! Im 63 and cant hear enough of these boys!!

John Wesley is not an official member of the band but his role is very important on stage.

This. Is. My. Bliss. I’ve only seen Porcupine Tree once in concert, at the House of Blues in Dallas on their tour for Fear of a Blank Planet. It might be the best show I’ve ever seen live. I’ve seen everybody from Van Halen to Megadeth, Queen, Heart, U2, Kansas, Rush, Dream Theater, Fates Warning, The Police, Santana, Yngwie Malmsteen, Extreme, King’s X, Queensryche, Joe Satriani....I could go in for ten minutes typing out all the bands I’ve seen live. PT was on a whole other level. If I had to live the rest of my life knowing that I’d never see Porcupine Tree again, or, at the very least, I’d never hear another new album again, life would be much darker. They are just exceptional together. Brilliant musicians that combine to make the perfect sonic experience. Steven is brilliant, and I will listen to anything he does. But Porcupine Tree is a whole other level.

I have never said this and I know why, but Gavin Harrison is probably my favorite drummer ever!!!

That "I want to be loved" moment would have been a "lighters in the air" moment back in those days.

Gavin Harrison's simplistic sophistication is astounding

67 yrs old; listening to Steven's projects since 2000-2001. PT is one of SW's best known sonic moldings. He is interested in originality and satisfying the visceral senses; entertaining, not selling. Surprises are his forte. Its not run of the mill. Harmonies and progressions prompting emotive pleasure. Since leaving PT behind, he has explored more intellectual expressions, conflating jazz, prog, ballad, and pop. He is always in phase. Lets see where it goes.

I just wasn't listening to much of this kind of music for a long time. I have even known what a great drummer Gavin was for a long because of his involvement with King Crimson. A month ago I was reminded of Bill Bruford, which started a chain reaction that led me to the Arriving... concert video. Now I am kicking myself for having missed these guys when they were active. They blow my mind

I saw them tour this... their last album TWICE in 2009 and was sad when they went on hiatus. SO GLAD THEY'RE BACK with a brand new LP this month. That was a long 13 years

Great live concert I saw them at their last US concert at radio city musical hall. And I first saw them in 1999 at the knitting factory in nyc.

This is like A+++++++ Chemistry!! Doesn't get better than this! So thankful for these high quality live recordings.

Damn what a band. I've been listening and jumping up and down so many times when listening. Then a felow fan pulls up a song I've not heard and I slobber down the front if myself all over again. This band is not only beyond belief but their truly magical. 68 years and counting and P T will fill my ears till my ears hear no more.

Everytime i hear there music i can't help shouting (on the inside :P ) 'why the hell did these guys take a break? Why the hiatus?' (i know why, but still, to me Stevens solo stuff isn't the same level (still damn good though). Of my whole vinyl collection PT is one of my prized possessions, together with SW first solo album.Insurgentes is also quite....awesome, in a different way though.
