_"do u think that steven gets embarrassed when he plays barefoot in front of the audience??? sorry if this ofends anyone but i thought it was a funny thing haha. and i would like to know if any of you have any pics of steven playing barefoot while he looks nervous or embarrassed i just want to see it for a few laughs haha. another thing i am wondering is what do you think the feet smell like haha im just curious for laughs haha i would like to smell them"_
Great quality, massive props to whoever filmed this. I bet a cam that could catch footage and audio like this in 1996 would have a) cost a fortune, and b) been hecking massive!.
Stationary camera suggests an audience member but that sound HAD to have come off the board the mix is too awesome... OK... The sound guys buddy and or girlfriend took the video and was able to snake the audio off the board?! (Scientific Wild Assed Guess)
I spent years sanding my log home so I could re-stain and reseal. I don't knot how many times I listened to this album. Many. I had only recently discovered Porcupine Tree and then Riverside. Love them. And now Lunatic Soul. Thank you for posting this recording . It is quite good.Peace. A 63 year old Polish Grunk
Unlike many commenters here, this is not my favorite era of PT, but this is a great video! You can really see how much Wilson's live singing has improved since.
Wow. This is my fabulous period of PT and watching it, not only listening as on Comadivine for example is a mystical experience 🙂. Thank you for sharing this masterpiece 👍

Pretty shocking for a VCR tape to have this kind of quality, thank you so much for sharing! It's a real pleasure to see the band at a time when they were very much unknown outside the more underground circles, still brilliant, of course.
Pretty much unknown outside of the UK and just barely known inside of the UK, I was fortunate enough to be a big fan of a few bands that they were the support band for which is where I discovered them.
Thanks for posting this. I'm a long time PT fan but I've never seen video from this period. Steven never fails to impress. Not to mention Richard and Colin.
Shout out to the 80s/ 90s babies who were kids during this show! Been my favourite band for ten years now roll on the London show!!!! Thanks for the upload:)
Thank you for this epic throwback of the most underrated nu skool prog rock band ever! Glad Sky Moves Sideways progressed , it was chaos when the dance beat and drums collision occurred! ✌️
I started listening to PT around the time of The Sky Moves Sideways. I love their psychedelic period. And this concert is fantastic. Thank you for uploading.
@ Great Cold Emptiness. 😂😂😂 Post that remark on some of The TPT vids where people won’t shut up about Gavin… as though the rest of the band doesn’t exist.
I'd love to listen to Idiot Prayer live once in my life. It was my favourite and most played PT track for a few years. Highly unlikely I'll ever get to though. Thanks for uploading this. :)
Wow, great early footage which I presume you filmed? I first saw them on April 6th 1996 at Bath Pavilion supporting Ozric Tentacles and a reformed Gong minus Steve Hillage. A previous PT gig had been cancelled in Bristol so i was thrilled to catch them even if a shorter set in Bath. My first exposure was hearing Up the Downstair on Mark Radcliffe's BBC radio show 'Out on Blue Six' in 1993..It stopped me in my tracks
@@mylesdavies9476 Amazing live, especially back then when John was in the band..I feel I saw them at their peak with the tour that brought you Live Underslunky.
