Thank you ! I am convinced ! Your analysis was very useful. I don’t want to be obnoxious either & I believe that you succeeded with the objective. I will get the same set-up. If you have any new discovery or impression, please let us know.

Lots of exhaust options for these. They all sound much better than the oem system.

Outstanding job working all those powerbands! Do you recall what rpm range you were downshifting to? This upload is ridiculously underrated.

Hi, thanks for the comment! Unfortunately, I don’t recall what RPM range I was downshifting to. Likely the higher end of the band (>5k).

Thanks for the vid review…GT4 arriving end of the year so watching a lot of exhaust reviews…shocking how expensive all the exhaust options on this car are. JCR is top of my list though, seems like OEM gets overly criticised, especially from interior recording it isn’t a huge difference from what the mic can pick up? Tone and higher pitch from JCR is nice but I keep thinking I would need to remove opf or headers to get closer to the GT3 sound. Just going by video I would say stock sound is 6/10 and then with JCR 7.5-8/10

There is an excellent thread on rennlist for JCR, you should read it, especially the table that someone wrote that explains how it sounds with varying options (valve controller, OPF delete, etc). The rear section changes tone and increases volume, the OPF increases volume further, but not much change in tone. Rear section + OPF delete is too loud for me, but it's all down to personal preference. The JCR is the closest to a GT3 sound that I could find. My 2nd favorite is Kline which sounds like the 981 GT4. Like most exhaust videos, microphone just don't do it justice, it can only give you a sense of what it sounds like. So the interior sound capture doesn't seem like much, but it is actually fairly significant. Obsessed Garage talks about the OEM system sounding "hollow" and that's a perfect way to describe it. You can kinda hear it in my video at the top of the rev range. That hollowness is gone with the JCR. In my opinion, stock is 4/10, JCR is 7/10. With an OPF delete, if you can tolerate the loudness, it's 8/10. You won't know how bad the OEM exhaust is until you hear it in person and unless you've had a Porsche naturally aspirated flat-6 before (I had a 981 GTS before the Spyder).

Your JCR is silenced version or non-silenced version?
