great vid. I've used weed whacker line before which worked well. having the right helper for this job is 100% key.

Nice strong thin para chord is great to pull the screen in as it’s almost unbreakable

Also it’s best to pull the string towards the centre of the screen not towards the seat area as it laps the seal over the seem easier

Nice work, I did the exact same thing with the string for the back glass of my mk2 jetta couple years ago, works great !

I recommend putting the seal in a bucket of hot water for 20 minutes before fitting to the screen, it makes it much more pliable

You won a subscriber on this one. It's a PITA, especially the later 3.2 ones with integrated antenna that you must connect to the amplifier. I've already teared two seals, one with a nylon string of small diameter, the other with a thick electric cable. Third seal on the way for what may be the six or seventh trial. Wish me luck.

I did one a while ago & never fits in perfect lol bottom corners are the most annoying
