The video was useful, thanks. Im in the UK and used Black Arboseal GZ Butyl Glazing Tape, 10mm x 3mm from Dortech Direct, seems to be ok although 4mm thick might be better.

Thanks for a solid video on the process. Sounds like your old seal was a dried out as mine is, but I’m still assuming a good cleaning is needed. What product would you recommend? Tangential question: what year is this 914? Mine is ‘74 and I’m trying to decide whether to add some non-OEM soundproofing back there.

Thanks for taking the trouble of making the video. As mentioned below, it would have been interesting to see the full procedure, including the glass installation. I am about to do my rear window but decided to remove the seats then the back triml panel to make access so much easier.

He doesn’t mention the screws under the rollbar pad have to come out first otherwise the ones on the front will not back out

Curious if you've seen any loosening of the glass since you didn't use butyl primer....??

Also be careful on the target top clamps located on the rollbar, they tend to want to come loose… and for convenience, just remove the seats to access the back pad, very easy to do makes for an easier job more to follow after I have experienced this project myself

He skips the critical part of installing the glass… Love to see how he pushes it up in there then reinstalling the roll bar pads etc.

you left out the step where you see how much rot is in the floor pan from the leaking window soaking the carpet..,.its there!

It looks like there is a bow towards the rear in the glass, am I seeing that correct or am I wrong and it's flat glass?
