I have owned my 987.2 Spyder since 2011 when it had just 700 miles on the clock - its now on 134,000 miles and I have loved every moment

Great review. I own one with manual gear box and bucket seats. Amazong car for Sunday drive and track days. And beautiful to look at.

I agree with you Enrique. Great review. Best drive I have ever had. I have the same - manual - carbon GT3 seats- I only regret not taking the carbon brakes. I should have known better than that... Porsche proposed an upgrade her for 30,000 USD Hahaha... prohibitive of course.

@@clu4u although a 2016 is a great car, especially with PCCB, it’s not the same as a 2011 12.

just trying to offer advice, no need to be sarcastic. great review, other than that. Anyway, all you have to do is substitute the exhaust audio in, as apposed to the music.

And now they are worth what they cost new, plus or minus 10%. If you couldn’t buy one then you cant buy one now. And PDK is better than a manual. If it wasn't it would cost $3200 extra. The brakes may be a stretch but if they are on it when you get it you lucked out!

As far as I'm concerned, that's not the point of a road car. Our race cars have automated gearboxes, which is the entire point, but in a road car you're never chasing the elusive tenth-tenth, so it should be a more engaging driving experience.

PDK with the right performance options (chrono +, steering wheel), is a lot of fun on the car. Plus, it gives you at least two cars in one: tame in auto mode, wild in manual mode. The pleasure of instant upshifts and downshifts, with the throttle blip on the downshift, is something to experience.

Absolutely. The Porsche agents pre - ordered some of these cars with what they thought their potential clients would want. Unfortunately most of the people who filled out the order forms where clearly not enthusiasts... and simply did not understand who the Porsche Spyder client is.

mine is PDK - the speed of changes in insane and unattainable with any manual gearbox
