@@SoundscapeCarAudio1 so it’s a matter of cutting the original wiring harness from the factory amp and connecting to the audison in order to feed the speakers?
@@SoundscapeCarAudio1 damn that’s a pain. But I suppose you’d just leave the gear in when you sell the car. I’m hoping to buy a 718 myself so just been investigating options for audio
@@DanVUngaro Ya think? I'm pretty unimpressed with my Bose subwoofer in a 718 GTS 4.0. I just replaced the Bose amp with a Helix 12-channel while leaving all the speakers alone and it sounds pretty good to me, but I think it could still use a lot better sub. Just not much room to put one in that cabin.
@@DanVUngaro Did I understand you installed a second amp to drive the sub? After playing with my Helix amp's software I'm fairly certain my shop just connected it to one of the 75W outputs. I'm thinking that's just not enough power for the sub.
Rear speakers cause the front stage imaging to lose focus. Everything we listen to is in two channels, so playing the system in that format reveals the intended sound stage.
