Here's the link to where I got the blower motor we used, just keep in mind that this is for a 2004 Porsche Cayenne S, on this link you can change the specs to your exact vehicle to make sure you get the right one. We got the URO Parts one listed for $77 at the time of this posting.

My local Porsche dealer just quoted me $1,485.76 to replace the blower motor on my '09 Cayenne Turbo S. Thanks to your video, I replaced it myself for $90 with the URO motor from Amazon. Thank you!

Wow, I never would have thought repairs would cost that much. Haha that’s insane. I’m glad this helped though, thank you for the comment.

Great video! Just did mine in about an hour. Got the fan on Amazon for $48 and it sounds just like the factory one. Thanks for saving me hundreds to have a mechanic or dealership do it!

My mate just swapped mine in 15 minutes - he did it without dropping the glove box - he is a professional and just thought I'd let people know. Mine is a right hand drive 2007 S

Took me about 1 1/2 hours. $900+ at Porsche. I got the part for around $100. So I saved around $800. Not to shabby.

Thank you so much. I just changed mine. The only thing would do differently is disconnect the hose from the glove box instead from the opposite end where the video showed the hole all the way in the back. It's just easier to detach from the glove box. Other than that everything was spot on and now I have heat.

Wow can't believe I didn't look into this more when I needed to do this. Mine was working still but was making a chirping/grinding sounds so I wanted to replace it. I had my mechanic do it wasn't too expensive think like 500$ Canadian but had I know it was this easy I could have easily done this myself. The part is cheap too so would have cost 100$ max. Oh well. You live and you learn.

We had ours changed on our 2017 Cayenne in 2019, a little less than two years after we purchased the car new! Our neighborhood Shell station did the work with an after market blower for $150.

2006 Cayenne Turbo S with 170K miles. 21 minutes; easier than an oil change on one of these. You don’t have to remove anything but the bottom panel. Less than $50 on Amazon.

I have a 2006 Titanium model. Did the coolant pipes and Tees, new redesigned cardan shaft and about to now do the blower motor. Cheaper car annually than any other I have owned. Only upset is I had factory installed hitch receiver but no wiring harness for it just empty sockets in the rear module unit. That is like buying a Tesla to be told "batteries cost extra" glad I didn't buy it new.
@kamalakeel

Yeea, these cayennes are great if you’re willing and able to do the work yourself. The dealerships pricing for those repairs are pretty high depending where you live. Haha. This gold Cayenne came with the factory hitch and wiring. Our other red Cayenne is also a 2006 titanium edition. We had an aftermarket Curt hitch installed on that one. We love that one, it was totaled though but we’ve almost finished all the repairs on it. I love the grey on the wheels and trim. I’m surprised they only had that for the 2006 year model.
@DL30Creations
@DL30Creations 3 года назад
@@kamalakeel mine also is the arrest me red with the grey/ black interior. I like the tan/ black colors better though. Dropped my 22 rims for base model 18 for now the price of 1 22 tire here is same as 2 18 tires. Does yours have the base sunroof or the panoramic? Mine is base I have seen a couple panoramic they look nice.
@kamalakeel
@kamalakeel 3 года назад
@@DL30Creations Yeea, I love that red though haha, the tan interior does look good with it. Ours is the normal sunroof. I’ve never actually seen the panoramic one before. That’s not a bad idea, the tires do get expensive for this thing, especially because it goes through the tread quicker than other vehicles so we change them a little more often.

WOW I just had to do this job on my Volvo XC60 2011 and wanted to see how it's done on a Cayenne since I adore the Porsche. If any of you guys knew what kind of job that is on the Volvo you'd understand what I mean when I say that on the Cayenne it's a piece of cake!! Do any of you know if the 2008/2009 Cayenne GTS is a fairly problematic or easy to DYI some things? If someone could give me some insight I'd appreciate it, I'd like to know more about the Cayenne before I look for one, am I wasting my time? Thank you

You didn’t have to remove the glove box just the cover underneath the glove box and then you can get to it with an extension

Yeea, we took the glovebox out in this video as well, it wasn’t too bad. Someone commented saying their mechanic replaced without removing the glovebox though. Hopefully the Panamera isn’t too tricky to get the glovebox out either.
