Join me in the garage today to fix the falling hood on my 2014 Porsche Cayman S. This is a common problem for any 981 model and 991 model Porsche. Frunt struts can cost quite a bit from porsche but buying the amazon brands works just fine. The Frunk struts are really simple and this job only requires a small flat head screwdriver. Simply put the flat head in the retaining clip on the strut end and pry it open to release the ball on the ball & socket joint of the frunk. This quick 3 minute tutorial is just about how long it took me to actually do this job, so you can do it too!
