@@RobinVaessen Many owners in Japan are having trouble finding parts for the EF8(CR-X) and EF9(Civic), especially the transmission parts. Even now, the EF8 in particular is still active in motorsports(Gymkhana).
@@RJX1011D I can imagine! Here in the EU, is getting harder as well. Luckily there are many company who sell a lot of parts, but the genuine Honda parts would be difficult.. 🥹
"Competing"... It wasn't the motor, it was the driver. Kudos to OP, he's a fantastic wheelman with a well setup car. The Porsche is on an ENTIRELY different level. With equivalent drivers the GT3 will walk, no RUN away from the Civic.
Clealry the GT3 driver is either unfamiliar with the track, nervous, taking it "easy". You never know the "condition" of that GT3 driver, heck maybe it is a "new" car to the owner and they are exploring. But believe me, that GT3 was not even pushing it in the corners. I am NOT saying Robin is bad, he is having a blast with that high revving lovely civic, but to say that the old is competing with the new.....it is obvious (to me) there is a driver skill/confidence and not the car that is in question here.
Those gt3 are fast, Ferrari is fast too. I think their lines could be better. Honda driver knows good lines. It’s also fast. I’m just thinking that Ferrari should’ve dusted everyone
@@99Lezard99 It sounds lie trash. Like a toaster being scrapped in a blender. All 4 cylinders sound terrible. To have to listen to that racket while driving would be maddening.
@@RobinVaessen Drag is always good, gives the engine a chance to rest a little as it takes a small amount of load of the engine and give the engine a rest which allows it to produce more H.p when you need it. It's really interesting how it works !! Ex Indy Car Mechanic 🤙🏼
@@RobinVaessen In corners you followed the ferrari very well, and according to Keiichi Tsuchiya, real men are found in the corners. Great driving by the way.
@@arthellstrobles1241 this is a myth, the CRX has a shorter wheelbase than the Civic hatch. They are less stable at high speed cornering and more twitchy.
Haha, well it suprised me and anoyed me at the sime time when the Ferrari past us. Pushing me wide, but hé. It's TF, nothing happend and we're all good.
@@RobinVaessen The above commentor is writing in Japanese, where Honda was born. Said your driving was thrilling as you caught the faster cars on the turns.
I’m just giggling. Honda fan since the first 1300cc civic I borrowed in the seventies. CRX’s in my twenties and back in a del sol now forty years later. I’m also a Ferrari fan. Seeing you hound both the Porsche and the Ferrari just made me laugh more. So much here to enjoy. I still liked seeing the prancing horse walk the GT3, never to be seen again. You had them both in those corners, awesome! Sending on to friends, it’ll make their days as it has mine.
man... btought me WAY back ! my '91 Si was also tuned to perfection I had put lots of efforts into it and got it to under 780kgs... it only had about 140hp, but it was undeatable in the backroads 😉 thanks for sharing... it was awesome to watch 👌
This made my day! This is everything i love about older Hondas as well as the mighty B series. The chase the drive is everything! Keeps me smiling for days! 😊
This proves the point that the driver can make more of a difference than the car. Loved how you took those lines! Precise and straight to the point! I hope to start tracking someday when I get a decent car to race in.
It's so obvious that you have the circuit scienced out to perfection when you're able to out drive cars well above your cars power level. Great video man!!
Nice breaking nice cornering you have it really i prefer watching you guys all day. I havent tracked cars for 20 years i miss it really. 1M owner greetings from OZ
When the driver is mature, competent and has skills the true strengths and nature of Honda shines. For decades in the 90s, 00s and 10s immature, incompetent and egotistic drivers/owners gave Honda in the streets a badimage and reputation. Many time over shadowing the manufacturer's quality product and superior capabilities excelling in F1 where many tried but many failed.
That’s so good. After owning lots of larger high powered rwd cars most of my life I am finally coming around to the beauty of a tuned na 4cyl in a friken hatchback.
Glad you like it! Spending a lot of time to improve the quality of my content and learning a lot with all the after work. Getting better everyday, so you're feedback is worth a lot! Thanks Boss!
Ill say it again and AGAIN For all of you who UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF THE HONDA B Series you just Dont understand the Dynamics of FWD and lightweight until its on the TRACK here you GO! You dont need a GT3 or a FERRARI to go out and kill it..B Sounds beautiful VTEC in all its Grandiose GLORY!!! Salute Fellow Honda Fan!!!
You’re a good steerer Robin and your driving skills shamed the 992 GT3 driver’s lack of ability, but how’s the power of that F8 Tributo? It just warped into the horizon and vanished lol. Edit : Great vid mate. 🤙🏻
The expensive cars only gain on the straights but actually hold back the Honda on the chicanes bends twisties. The displacement disparity, tech aids and set up disparity against the Honda is huge.
