Great short review and beautiful video as always, Roger. I am lucky to own a Taycan Cross Turismo for two weeks during which I drove it more than 1700 miles. Driving it never fails to put a huge smile on my face. Charging has been a non-issue, even during my first long road trip from Los Angeles, where I picked it up, back home to Seattle. It’s a Porsche first and an EV second, which I consider a good thing. The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo is a fantastic car.
With my Taycan Cross Turismo 4S arriving in 8 weeks time it was great to hear your commentary and enjoy the beautiful video. Don't know how you managed to resist doing a Sports+ Launch Control run !!! Cheers from Australia.
Great video again Roger, especially the drone shots, with tonnes of info on this new Porsche offering. The rear arches and stance look aggressive but the wheels are a little too small and could they go to 21"..? As others have said the lack of suitable and available charging points within UK infrastructure makes grand touring a challenge. Final question why didn't Porsche release more hybrids first across their range (petrol/electric).??
Thanks Kevin, good points here - we are told the infrastructure is growing and it needs to, I hear there's a hybrid 911 on the way before the all electric version - Roger
Porsche need to put the underpinnings of this S4 EV beast into an EV version of the Macan. Now, that would be one hell of an SUV 8-))... Nice car. Great video. Your No1 Stalker 8-))... PS Trust you and your _Boss (The blonde Stalker!)_ are both keeping well? Keep up the work on your videos. TTFN ;-))...
Loved the test drive I had in one, but unfortunately my lack of any home charging facility and the poor availability of public charging points makes it a no go at this time. Also, would have been good if you had shown more of the interior - back seats and rear load space in particular.
Hi Roger, enjoyed your video thanks. Have had my Neptune Blue 4S CT for a week and fancy trying it on that Welsh rally circuit - could you let me know where it is and how to access please?
@@RogerBaileyOnCars Hi, thanks for your reply. I’m interested in taking my car on a ‘gentle’ off-road circuit so could be good to know how to access the one you used in Wales please? Many thanks Paul 👍
Really lovely looking beastie. I’ve recently opted back into Porsche after a while in the doldrums. An EV is inevitable at some point but in the meantime i’m revelling in a manual cayman S. My ask is just much worse is the agility, is there that horrible feeling of driving a heavy weight missile that can’t easily change direction. Basically how much of a sacrifice in handling so you have to make ?
Not sure why this has attracted so many dislikes but the music level at 4:44 and 4:53 gets way too loud compared to the rest of the video, as well as the suspense at 0:14 maybe was dragged out a little too long. I'm not sure such dramatic music can be used for a fully electric vehicle either but those are my feedbacks. A pretty interesting car though and it is in the BOTB car lineup to win however I'm starting to think that game is near impossible to win...
Whilst I love the look of the current Porsche models, the ridiculous ‘cup holders’ that they now insist on putting in the central armrests of their Taycan, and 992 variants ruin the interior for me…. Just pampering the American market I feel….. what ever happened to the discreet cup holders from the earlier models?, that folded away when not used.
