As an importer, yes. All of this. The pure joy that radiates off these things, the chaos of pickups and delivery, every bit of it goes right into my veins and I cannot wait to do more of it every day. ~TikiBunnyImports
You're so right, Nick. There's nothing like the experience of buying your car at auction over in Japan then arranging the shipping, importation, titleing, and registration yourself. It's worth the wait, and in the end, it's a lot cheaper, too. I bought my '95 Suzuki Carry, 43k, 5spd, 4wd at auction in Japan for $1700. After auction fees, shipping, import duties, transport to my driveway, title, tags, and registration, my total outlay was about $3700. I'll eventually sell it for @$5500, and do it again for something nicer.
That gray Hijet iS dump with the polished chrome. OMG! And those decorative dingle berries! The air horn may only need for the compressor to run for a minute so there is air to operate it. That was way more fun than my port day. Hawaii seems chill compared to the Gestapo DHS presence at most mainland US ports of entry. JDM Hawaii has a lot of great looking JDM vehicles in that batch. The 4WD Atrai RT Limited van... best vehicle on the lot! 😀
