Neat site. Love those remote sites like that using Alternative power. I agree with you on the knots. Tie standard knots and will save yourself a lot of trouble, and may even save some good ropes.
Wind wiggles the pole, which then wiggles the butt-end into the dirt. Put any can under the pole and you're good...I have a can with some 16 penny nails in it that I use a trimmed piece of 4x4 to push into the ground, then my fiberglass pole goes in the can. Great vid, thanks!
Great video! We were fighting a small fire, digging lines here in ny back in September. We have towers setup already here and Radio comms with okay for the area we worked in. Never the less I had my radio kit on my persons and another radio go bag with me along with some powerfilm solar panels. That p3 solar panel looks awesome!
I am no expert but theory says that such loops decrease tyhe rope strength at the bending point. It is said that only the Alpine Butterfly knot doesn't. Regardless, I was glad too watch your new video.
There’s a few survival experts on RU-vid who preach simple but always do there truckers hitch that way. I am a truck driver and never seen that done like that until RU-vid. Awesome vids it’s been to long between your vids. I hope you can do some more.

You weren't worried about theft or anything like that and I mean somebody could have easily stolen that if I was going to have a setup like that I would want somebody there 24/7 to be able to monitor so that way nobody can ever steal the repeater setup or at least get a surveillance camera
The liklihood of someone finding it in the middle of nowhere is slim but I still would of bought a snow camo sheet. I was travelling on the road by backpack and found a "real tree" camo sheet in Dealey Plaza in Dallas on the ground in the overpass when I was sleeping in Martyrs Park (where JFK was shot) and since then I used it for my gear, works like a charm, and a sheet is light and compact. Its the US, you can get cammo anything.
