Just trimmed up my backyard and this absolutely works!!! As instructed only use about 10 inches of line otherwise you will overload the engine

Trying to resolve the "auto-feed line immediately wraps around the shaft" problem on my Craftsman, which has the identical auto-feed system. See the two little triangle-shaped protrusions on the spring-loaded line feeder bar that sits under the spool? Those have been partially sheared off by the teeth on the bottom of the spool. Replacing the line feeder bar will solve the problem... my problem has been FINDING one. My problem began when the line wrapped around something while running at full speed, leading to the spool overriding and damaging the triangle-shaped bumps.

I hope this works! I tried all the other restringing techniques and they didn't work. Missing the white sleeve they keep talking about. Going to do this right now! #Salute
