Before Marianne couldn’t get Heloise to smile. Once Marianne blew her back out she couldn’t stop smiling to the point where Marianne couldn’t resist. God damn I love this movie
Maybe it was the other way around and that’s why Heloise was smiling . You see that Marianne couldn’t resist and couldn’t help but respond . For a sheltered and supposed to be a naive girl, Heloise was more astute than she was given credit for. She was the one waiting for Marianne in her room because Heloise knew that Marianne wasn’t going to initiate anything so Heloise took the first step to get the ball rolling. Marianne couldn’t resist Heloise who was the personification of cool under desire 😜😍
LittleLea141 “Does everything regarding love making need to be sullied or degrading. It’s called being in love with the love of your life and knowing that wound make anyone smile”
kakekobo “ I was recently watching an interview with the director Celine Sciamma and she said that the movie didn’t do well in France. The trailer was very different than in the USA or other countries which hinted at the ridiculous hang ups of the French regarding certain movies. I’m sure the fact that it was mostly women who made this movie and also because it was about two women in love had something to do with it. It really goes to show you that more needs to be done in regards to women in cinema. Furthermore, the period of the movie probably led some people to believe it was boring . It’s a shame because I saw Parasite and Les Miserables both of which were wonderful but this movie excelled in all areas and was a masterpiece in comparison.
There are so many wonderful moments in this movie but it’s amazing after you’ve been together and realized your love is reciprocated, how your heart shines through and manifests itself in your outward demeanor. Heloise was smiling and Marianne couldn’t help but respond. I would have love to see a part two with them ending up together and the journey to get there.
Omg yes!!! When Heloise turns to face Marianne and stops smiling and giggling. I nearly swooned. Wow. What a film..watched and cried way too many times. Just absolutely outstanding
Heloise was like “Oh damn, I’m screwed, she’s getting mad…”. But actually, Heloise was too cute and Marianne can’t help herself but having to be closer to that cutest person. This scene keeps making me smile like crazy lol.
Adele’s uncontrollable first love smile, here and the way she smiles excitedly when asking Noemie to try the plant,🥰 🥰🥰 so adorable. And the way Noemie places her head So softly on Adele’s shoulder when they meet in her room ❤️❤️, oh wow, that just melted me. Still dealing with effect this beautiful film had on me.
I saw this film last night on bbc4! Beautifully acted, and very moving. The end is so sad! If that had been me I would have got up and run round to the place where she was sitting !!!
I love this scene because there's no muse or artist position that separates them. I think that the way they kiss and how their heads look like one symbolizes how they have finally become one in the observers (us) perspective bc they both know their love is reciprocated, yet they aren't our muses, because we can't actually see them.
Not at all weird.! But.... I have news for you? You can definitely be in a Lesbian relationship. If that's what you definitively feel is what fits your life. Uhm, you can research about Transgender people and see from a different perspective. It might give you insight and stuff. I get you though, as difficult it is to be a woman sometimes, I like being a girl who is attracted to other girls. I really wouldn't have it any other way. 🙂
This scene is wonderful. After the first time together, there is an impressive change in the attitude / pose of Heloise, the transformation of love! Thanks #Marina
