@@Verifraudreports I had a much different crowd. My experience is only in upscale bars/restaurants, where the general demographic started around 28ish, or so. At my rail, it was usually the younger ones that got like the character in Julie's sketch. Although, there were the occasional 40-50 year olds that came in during their mid-life crisis. They fit this video to a T, including trying to hit on me while being a decade or more younger than them. One of them even tried to block me from serving a table I had on the main floor until I gave her a hug. WEIRD!

I'm 5 years ahead of you:) Seeing the young ones look younger and younger is unnerving, and it's true the clubbing scene is generally 20's and early 30's, but in all honesty the dating scene never really goes away no matter how old you are. I thought I wouldn't be approached anymore after I got married but to my surprise, there are still ppl interested. So don't worry too much. Should your relationship ever end later in life, there will still be interesting people to meet, and your relationship and conversations will be all the more deeper as a result of your experience.

I went through this same thing a couple years ago, so I may be able to give a bit of insight here. The problem often isn’t that this character has bad/unsupportive friends or no life outside of their relationship. The problem is, once people get to a certain age, the majority of their friends will have full extremely busy lives if their own (most likely married with children). Surely their spouse doesn’t want them out sever nights a week bar hopping trying to help their friend get laid like they’re back college again. And the newly single person doesn’t often want their happily coupled friends around them all the time reminding them of what they have lost. That was my experience at least.
@johnbagley5341

The friends she didn't ditch while in her relationship are coupled up themselves and don't want/aren't allowed to be out with her.

@@GBPARMER_GEN-X77 I’m Gen X ( 47 ) and my husband is a millennial ( 32 ) he brings up some valid points about weird shit from Gen X youth such as all the creepy songs about having sex with underage girls and the fact that I weighed 84 pounds in high school because “ heroin chic “ was the body type goals. Also, the boys will be boys mentality. I got groped almost daily just trying to walk from one class to another and that wasn’t unusual. I’m honestly glad we didn’t have cameras in our faces all the time though so there’s that.

Every generation was promised the world and we all blame the generations before us for handing us a pile of steaming shit. My generation had a war because of oil and watched planes crash into buildings and wondered wtf we were supposed to do about it but fortunately airline companies made a rule about liquids and hired tsa agents to make us all feel physically violated and I guess that fixed everything. It could be worse…we could all be Gen Z and not know what fing pronouns to use while talking to transgender, level 3 furry, ninja turtles that identify as unicorns.

@@GBPARMER_GEN-X77 Liar? What are you on about? I am just speaking from personal experience. As kids we were told "Children should be seen and not heard". We weren't allowed an opinion. Old codgers at the lawn bowls club prevented us from flying our model planes in the park behind the club because the engines were affecting their concentration. Later our guitar band was harassed by the manager at the RSL club during a paying gig because I don't know why. Bosses at all my early jobs were crusty old B's. There was no such thing as pot. The closest thing to drugs was an untrue rumour at primary school that you could put aspirin in coca cola and it would make you feel funny. At high school one of my classmates was so decadent as to smoke tobacco. But yes, it was fairly easy to get a job.
