Jeez, thanks a lot for trying and showing us tele on tele photos! Other RU-vidrs who have reviewed this lens don't do this and your photos looked gorgeous.
the most reaction we've got against the cold is an "Oh my god" when she had to wear an off-shoulder sweater on a windy balcony in the Canadian winter, not a single complaint nor even a frown. She's a true professional.
I don't know how the iPhone's portrait mode works, but Ive used the Moment lenses in my Pixel 3XL and the portrait mode and it gives that awesome close shot with shallow depth of field. Can't shoot in RAW that way, but makes for interesting shots.
My heart stopped for a second when you held your phone/camera over the balcony, ahaha. I was so afraid it was gonna drop. Great video though, excellent review! You seem like an epic photographer! I'm totally subscribing and I hope to one day work with you! Excellent work!
Man, only a slight difference tbh! Just goes to show how good the iPhone camrea is alone! I really wldnt have been able to tell if u had a lense on or not, it would have js been depending if you were close to the subject
Tivarn Tipoki the lens offer better natural blur and the built in tele won’t perform as well in low light situation due to different aperture size and sensor
Giovanni Cheng only if you are using on wide angle built in lens. Otherwise Moment 58mm is unnecessary because you have telephoto built in lens on iPhone. It just gives slight natural bokeh but almost unnoticeable. I have myself 58mm but honestly ... telephoto built in already enough and it’s sharper.
@@Pentax67 But if you bolt on that Moment 58mm lens on the iPhone's native telephoto camera and using any third-party camera app like Moment's own Pro Camera app, you can get that 4x focal length zoom. So what would be a 52mm focal length now becomes 104mm, and that is great.
honestly curious question Zubu. Based on the fact that you say you haven't watched it yet what sets this apart from the many other videos on shooting portraits with the Moment 58 and an iPhone that you can find on RU-vid?
Yes brother.. I have an iPhone so thinking to buy 58mm lens moment or sirui for extra shallow depth of field but I searched lot of video but :( I couldn't find any quality videos btw thanks 🍻
@Martian Argonaut yes like any other ARM chip in smartphone, nothing special The only special chip for photo is in Pixel phones, which use snapdragon + IPU (Image Processing Unit) only for photo. That's why with only one lens Pixel photos destroys every other brand, even phones with 3/4 lens.
Pretty girl. I'm hesitant to buy lenses, having had cheap ones in the past that distorted photos so I never used them. I do want to buy filters though, and may risk a lens or two. Waiting to see how pros use them on the iPhone 11 pro max. Nice vid, you directed the model well and she obviously has either experience or an understanding of how to model.
Great video man! So glad you showed us how it performs with tele on tele - great shots I’m also surprised that you decided to shoot in Burlington to test out a lens rather than typically shooting in Toronto like everyone else haha. You should come back when the music festival is setup this summer ;)
Henkka my battery went from 89% to 0% in like 20mins. I don’t know what to say. I’ve never seen it do that. When we shot next under the ice tree I only had 3% battery and then it died again
Memeorandum of Understanding yeah I have Apple care but it’s fine when it’s not in the cold. Lasts all day with medium / heavy use. I had the moment app open the whole time with screen brightness on full but I assumed it was the cold that sucked the life out of it
When he said I sold all my camera gear" and now he only have smartphone to shot it now .. i got the same reaction with the girl.. I mean WHY? HAHAHA but anyway I can't buy DSLR or kit anyway so this Tutorial is so good
Out of curiosity, not trying to be an arse. If you sold all your cameras and gear and shooting on iphone only, what are you shooting with right now since you hold the iphone in your hand? you have two?:D one for videos one for photos?:D
Does anyone know of an iPhone lens that shows that nice background blue this 58 mm does, but for video? I really want one for film making on my iPhone. I don’t want to buy a mirrorless camera for that. Please anyone reply if you know.
Moment lenses work for years, all you need is the right case for your phone. As of now, all of their cases for different phones works with all their lenses
