after a few shoots with my RZ67, I've come to the conclusion that shooting at 2.8 close range means you accept a big percentage of your images will be out of focus. I purchased the FD701 and the microprism focusing screen for additional precision. Most of the time, it works, but I have to be very still and hold my breath. Also, I always use a light monopod on long sessions, these vintage medium format cameras are heavy. Having an additional point of contact (with the ground) helps achieving focus with very slow shutter speed.
Absolutely! Sometimes you just have to accept that some stuff is going to be out of focus or that you'll miss focus. I do tend to stop down a little bit to make it easier for myself, as the shallow depth of field of a medium format camera means it still looks nice! Thanks for the comment.
