A Portsmouth community is reeling after police say three dogs escaped their backyard enclosure Saturday morning, brutally attacking another dog out for a walk.

Really getting old. Don't get a dog if you can't contain, restrain, and care for it properly.

Notify the dog owners homeowner Insurance policy!. Be sure to include psychological distress. Even if he is a renter you still notify the homeowners policy that is a 10,000 minimum payout and that person probably will never have a homeowner's insurance policy again

You have to supervise your dogs contained in your yard. Keep gates locked, maintain fences, put up signs & check up on them consistently.

Beyond sad that an innocent dog got savaged out by a trio of unrestrained poorly trained, highly territorial demon dogs. Happy to hear that the owner of the attacking dogs suffered a serious leg bite, as perhaps now that she was wounded, she will understand the significance and responsibility of owning a trio of powerful dogs and what happens when you do not do what you are suppose to do, as in secure fencing with foolproof latches on gates, proper training and constant supervision. I can guaranty that the owner of the Cane Corso's was not Alpha, for if she was, one simple command would have stopped her dogs in their tracks. I am speaking from experience as I own 6 dogs, three of them weighing in at over 200lbs and you can rest assured they know and acknowledge that I am the pack leader, which stops things from getting out of control. I pray that the poor dog that was on the receiving end of this tragedy survives and recovers from this unfortunate incident.
