@@peterj6802 We don't know the situation. If you put that dog next to a white haired old lady in a wheelchair, who would be angry. What if the owner had died and none of the relatives could take care of a dog. There are apartments that do not allow pets. I don't think he would qualify as a service dog.

Hugh Mungus people always have a reason and few times they aren’t good reasons but usually they are like my family had to give away our dog because it was a puppy and my parents were about to have another kid and a puppy so we had to get rid of it since we didn’t have time for it when the baby came

Most young dogs do that, not that hard to correct with a little time and patience. Ripple is probably a perfectly normal young dog.

Am I the only one who thinks every news cast should have animals up for adoption come on as a regular thing? The dogs get exposure to help them get adopted, and the network gets a bunch of new viewers like me who finally get to see something they actually care about on the news. Everybody wins.

@Karina Peters Same here, just slightly different signs. Since dogs use body language so much, it just makes sense to teach hand signals. XD

Its a well known fact you should never repeat a command and especially not in a quick way. You should say it once in a calm but firm voice. If the dog doesn’t get it after a few seconds, say the command again with a hand signal. If they still don’t get it say it once last time while showing them what to do (ie: either leading them with a treat or in this case pressing gently on the rump to get them to sit)
