I got some Posca markers and my favorite ones are dark green,metallic gold and metallic silver

Being completely honest; you can achieve a great finished result with both markers. I’ve never used either of them before. But watching you use them; the chalk markers look more vibrant and covers better. The Posca markers don’t give a full coverage look and it takes more than one coat to get the desired results; except on the paper. All-in-all though…..they would both get the job done. Great comparison Xavier!!!

Wow! Nice vid ! And new sub! Tip:when you wanna do a neon effect you get colored pencils and get the same color (not exactly the same if it’s similar) and shade it in a bit where the neon color is (if you understand)

I’m going to use the posca marker when I get it because I’m not gonna really be using it on like shoes. I’m gonna mostly be using it on paper.

"POSCA are water-based markers and stable pigments that can be applied to all materials. It is permanent with no need for fixatives on porous materials such as wood, cardboard, textiles, pebbles, certain plastics and metals". I use the water-based acrylic poscas over a lot of my acrylic paintings. You can't use oi-based on top of acrylic so it is important to know the difference and know which ones you are using for your project. I'm not sure why you mention they are oil-based. Do they have an oil-based line? I'm very curious because I checked the POSCA FAQ and they don't mention having an oil-based line.Is there a difference in the way you seal or protect the project? I'm new to the chalk markers so I'm very interested in trying them (especially if they are less expensive).

How does the chalk marker react to a finisher?

Sorry to tell you this but on the characters the part where there were campuses the posca pens are better because the pasta pins in the chalk markers are like fading cuz if you look real close you can see that it looks like it smeared

The chalk looks weird if you over lap them but over all I think there still good

In my opinion I like the posca markers more because chalk markers are more for designs and it's like D.T and art posca markers are good at art chalk markers are good at D.T.

Awesome Review and really helpful :) Im currently looking for a small chalkboard to make some quick notes and doodles in home office and i have been wondering if i can use some of my acrylic markers (posca, molotow etc.) on them 😅 or should i better get some chalk marker as they are more suitable for chalkboard and also now that i have seen this review, seems to work on more different materials than poscas 🤔😊

i use posca a lot and used them for 5 years

its not a very good comparison, its like testing a dune buggy and a corvette and see which drive better on the road and which drive better on the sand. They are made to specialise in 2 different surfaces. Wy not test the uni (Posca) chalk markers instead?
