I used to watch your videos all the time when i started skating on my own, and i stopped when i got badly injured because I couldn't anymore and it made me miss it too much. I didn't go back to skating cause i got too much going on in my stupid little adult life and my knee never fully recovered, but i still dream of it, and whenever i do i come back to your videos. It hurts that i will never be able to move like you do, but it's so beautiful to watch and i feel lucky that i get to watch you do it so artfully
Hans is one of the best ever! He judged me in an Am. freestyle contest back in '89 and took the time afterward to give me some positive reinforcement about the tricks I was doing even though I didn't place that well. He and Don Brown (another FS legend!) were also super funny together.
Where is the non-Liechtenstein swiss skatepark where you do the beebop, moving, to Baden Würrtenberg later this year, will want to visit it and Vadiz as well 😎🎉
Whatever the reason is for this video to come out just now... thanks a lot. Enjoyed it so much. As an old dude (47) I enjoy watching your channel. Your videos are so honest, humble and beautiful to watch. Thanks for putting a smile on my face every time you drop one... Greetings from Belgium.
Im 42... Do I qualify for the older guy title ? Haha, joking. Not only his skating, but his desire to push harder, perfect, do the impossible cleanly while appreciating the skating of everyone else as well is just a beautiful thing. We need more people like him in the world. Build people up instead of breaking them down...
"Hang 10" did come from the transfer of surfing to land surfing, that's what they called it then, were they rode the (fish) board bare foot and would do the stand as a mastery of the board gripping their toes on the curved edges, but it so cool that a trick form the beginning of skateboarding still has a mass effect on people today!
Johnny man you're looking good. Happy and healthy. Your videos Are some of the best skating videos on the platform. And you are 1 of the best skaters on the platform as well
I'm not sure I've seen that particular trick, but I met Hazze a few times when he had just moved back to Sweden - we used to go to the same skate-shop. Nice guy!
Nice vid! I had an epiphany during a morning spliff and cannot unsee Jonny and Payo (WoW streamer) look kinda alike.. If they'd collaborate would be some amazing content. Somehow. I dno.
Damn, I don't know what it is about this video, like IDK if you're filming at a higher resolution, but it looks like you aged 10 years from your last video.
That trick looks like it would be risky for a guy to learn (without maxing out his credit card) but how does Jonny Giger avoid his massive pendulous balls, does he tuck 'em?
Johnny what's up just picked up my skateboard from s lon hiatus I like the hang ten bebop Just wondering related to feather flips I used to do them like the halo flip but have you ever tried turning toe side with an AC I only have it them stationary anyways keep shredding your inspirational
great stuff bro as someone 10 years older than u i wouldnt take the consistency stuff so seriously as it gets worse and worse when ur out of your prime years and can be quite depressing haha
I missed your videos so much, but I’ve got to say this video was definitely worth the wait! Wow that BeeBop was sick I didn’t know it was suppose to be done from the hang ten stance. Thanks for the great video and for the new knowledge! God Bless!
watching this you almost did a bebop lateflip a few times, that could be nuts... not that this wasn't, but bebop lateflip is probably an nbd and you are almost there.
Does the trick at 3:51 have a specific name or is it just a sort of nose many to 360 shuv really fast? Anyway i always loved that trick, always sick to watch 🔥
Would it be possible to just hit or brush the board with your hand to make it do the 1/2 rotation instead of grabbing and flipping it? Just thought that may be cool
I remember when the A TEAM used to do those ads when they would do a trick and if you could do it and send in the footage you'd get sponsored gershon mosely did one he called the yoshi grab were he ollied a bump and did like a mute with both his feet
i don't even understand the physics of how you are popping the board so high with your feet in that position. are the bottom of your feet giving the board a slight boost into the air instead of the side of your foot...nuts
The Flip by itself looks very powerful and it's adding a lot of style with the delayed Fingerflip to the end. Mandatory, Late - Fingerflip out. 10/10 Thus, the setup to do it is looking very goofy and kind of uncanny. Worth it, non the less!
Taking it easy style still looks extremely stylish.. never forget the basics... I'm no skater, just a viewer, but in my work, going back to the simple things is always a great pleasure. That's when you know you're approaching master level, when you're not insecure about showing simplicity, and even vulnerability.
