To answer the taking a break from Poshmark question, I took about 10 days of not even going on the app and then once I finally came in again and did a full closet share, I got 3 sales in a 72 hour time period which is A LOT for me! Also great video!
When someone sends me an offer, I'm willing to go a little lower than I would have sent to them. The buyer pays the shipping if they offer, so I keep that in mind. Sometimes it's a lower offer than it should be, but I would get more of a profit on the item than if I had sent an offer with discounted shipping!
Hi, I recently received an offer for $50 on a pair of Nike Shoes listed at $150. I deliberately list high. I countered at $110. They countered at $85. I countered at $100 and they accepted. $100 was the price I intended to get. I never decline an offer. Love your content. I’m in Gilbert AZ.
A big reason that I personally send messages or comments about offers is because once you offer, you can't change it. So asking seems safer. For me at least. And I'm a seller also and don't mind
Yes! I went on a short few days vacation and planned to still share my closet but was so busy and stressed that I did nothing with poshmark for 4 days. When I came back I got 2 full priced sales (first time ever) and a ton of activity/likes. So weird.
I stumbled across your YT channel tonight as I was searching on ways to grow my Poshmark closet and ended up binge watching a lot of your videos, ha! You have great tips and I can relate a lot to your strategy! So my question for you is your system with posting your items and time management? I've been collecting and cleaning out my closet over the past few months and have bags and bags of nice clothes have been piling up in my guest bedroom. This weekend it was my goal to sort through it all and post it all thinking it certainly wouldn't take a whole weekend to take pics and post but didn't even get through like 1/4 of it. I guess I'm struggling with an efficient system when posting and don't know how Poshers are able to take pics and post so many items in a day and make it look so easy haha. Just from watching a few of your vids (like the shipping/ty card vid) I'm the same way and pay attention to all the little details. Like if there's a small wrinkle I have to steam it or if there's or a loose string I cut it off. Even if it's like a $10 item.. it's so silly and know it's not worth the time but it's hard posting an item without doing this haha. I measure out everything but that also takes alot of time and so I suppose my questions are what are your recommendations on posting 100+ items of clothing and do you have a recommendation of like a realistic goal of how many pieces you can get through in a day? from start to finish? Do you measure out all your clothes even if it's just like a tank top thats worth $6? haha. I'd love to see a video of your process like from start to finish like prepping the clothes to posting them to get any tips!! Yikes so sorry for the long comment haha.. hopefully you can read this though and provide any advice you have!!
Hey Brooke! I actually do have a video already on my channel that walks through my start-to-finish process for listing items! I think it’s called “Prepping new inventory” or something like that! It absolutely is a time consuming task for us detail-oriented people! A couple of weekends ago I was working so hard to get through 50 items and I ended up doing 25 on Saturday and 25 on Sunday because that’s all I could mentally manage 😅 Today I photographed and listed 12 new things which felt really reasonable as a part-time reseller! That only took a couple hours out of my weekend
@@HannahAlonzo You are awesome! Thanks so much for your reply and advice ♥️ I must have missed that video. Yes, it can be extremely overwhelming! I definitely underestimated the time it takes! lol thank you for your reply and input!!
How long after you post an item do you decide to drop the price of it? A week, a couple of days...I’m not sure cause I just started using Poshmark. Thanks!!
I had the craziest scam run on me and it was for just $25 pairs of jeans. I had 2 buyers order a pair of jeans within a day of each other over President’s Day weekend and one of them got a pair like a week before the other and accepted them right away and gave me a 5 star review. Then the other person got the other jeans and opened a case saying that she got the wrong jeans. Obviously she sent a picture of the waistband which had the brand name on it. Now mind you I am not a high volume seller and I pack each order one at a time with everything else out of the way so nothing gets mixed up so as soon as the case was opened I knew something wasn’t right. Not to mention the person who got the jeans first accepted them, rated me, and never reached out to me to let me know that anything was wrong. Anyway Poshmark sent them both shipping labels to swap the jeans and guess what happened, only the first person, the one that accepted, actually sent the jeans. Then I get an email from Poshmark a few weeks later saying that they are going to refund the first person because the second never shipped the jeans and were going to release my funds but it was a huge exception because it’s my responsibility to get the items to the correct buyer. Then a few days ago I got an email that the second person shipped the “jeans” to the first. I put quotations around jeans because at this point I think they are friends, living in different states, one bought the jeans for the other and that was the best way to get them to her and who knows what the second person sent the first because she has up to 5lbs to use. So I got a nice ding on my account and they enjoyed a free pair of jeans and free priority shipping for whatever they wanted. So a scam can absolutely happen and negatively affect you on just a $25 transaction. I hate scammers lol
@@HannahAlonzo I’m telling you! I can’t believe they didn’t void that shipping label once they refunded the first person. Just blows my mind how people can think of these things
When I sell an item NWT. I typically take a pic with the item showing the tag, next to the shipping label. That way I can prove that it had tags when they ordered. I’m afraid of someone taking the tags off, snd claiming it never had tags.
I had a loss in the family so I stopped being as consistent with sharing my closet. Once I came back a few weeks later I started making weekly sales! 2-3 sales a week compared to 1-2 a month
Wait, who else can see the comments in the bundle section except the seller and the buyer? Also hoping to ask this question too. What do you do when someone has like an item, and it’s close to clear out so you sent them a comment asking them if you drop the price to $X would they like the offer? They don’t respond, then a few days letter you get a notice in your news section that they’ve liked the same item again. This is always so confusing to me. Is this peoples way of asking for another offer? I don’t understand why someone wouldn’t just make an offer that they’re comfortable with and then I will either accept or decline or counter.
Only if the listing you are copying has been listed for 60 days or longer! This will put it into the “just in” category. Listings that you copy that are less than 60 days old won’t have that same effect
I'm watching videos from most recent so I'm behind. I'm also very new to Poshmark however, I do sell on multiple other sites. I'm not exactly sure what "bundles" are?
Have you ever ordered reseller boxes on Poshmark to add to your inventory? If so, what experience have you had with it and would you consider doing a mystery box haul in the future?
I am getting sick of people on closet clear out responding to my comment about the price I would be willing to drop the listing to saying yes please and then after I update the public listing price not buying it. It just feels really inconsiderate.
Burning questions: 1. Is it worth sharing out-of-season items every time you do a closet share? 2. Is it worth attending Poshmark parties, in your opinion? 3. Here’s one you probably can’t respond to - I’m wonder whether and how Poshmark might work differently in Canada. Maybe we need a joint experiment??!
Hi Hanna! I received that comment on an item I sell on Poshmark and I was kind of shocked : "Just noticed you spelled "lighting" incorrect in your title. Might get more views if you change it. I might be back to make and offer in a bit too..."" - Should I be offended? Do you think it rude and arrogant? As if I were correcting my title that the person would perhaps deign to reward me with a purchase! I reported the comment to make it disappear and I blocked him. If he pisses me off because of t my misspelling, in a language that is not my mother tongue, I don't think I want to sell him anything. He might cause me trouble.
How do you get people to give you more likes , so you can send them an offer. I share many times a day but it takes a lot of times to see a person liking an item.
I heard that before Poshmark added the offer feature, people had to negotiate in the comments. So I would assume maybe people that do that aren't even aware that there's an offer feature. Or at least that's what I like to think :)
Yes, I sell now but I'm embarrassed to say that's exactly how I was as a buyer initially. I really didn't know how to communicate with sellers other than just making a comment. Initially, I didn't even know everyone read my comment. So yes, as a seller, try not to take it personally whether someone makes a comment, low balls or anything else that is irritating to us as sellers. As both a buyer and now a seller, I understand there is a learning curve. I didn't really learn posh etiquette until I sold for months and that's because I received so many tips from other Poshers. If I never sold, I probably would not have ever learned. As a seller, maybe take it as an opportunity to Posheducate (poshucate 🙂) others. Great video! I've learned a lot from you over the months. Thank you! ❤️
