These tests are based on HCG (hormone) levels present with pregnancy. The level is often lower early in a pregnancy. A blood test is the sure way to confirm these results. Congrats!

Just for anyone who's curious. She says in the description she was 5 weeks pregnant when she took the test. (Congrats!) This also why the second line shows up so faintly since she is early in the pregnancy. However, if you ever get a test result like this please take another test and consult your doctor. While getting 1 dark line and 1 faint line means you're most likely pregnant. It is by no means a completely positive test. In fact, for most women they can have a false negative all the way up to 7-8 weeks along because the hormone that is being tested for isn't in a high enough quantity yet. That's all a pregnancy test does is test for hCG. Pregnancy is not the only reason it can show up in your urine. It's just the most common. So definitely talk to your doctor if you think you might be pregnant.

When I took my first pregnancy test it almost was negative but then was positive, went to the doc I was almost 3months.😄😄😄😄. My babies are my miracle babies. After years of telling me I couldn't get pregnant,or if I did I couldn't care long because I have 1 tube closed. God said it was time I had not 1 but 2 a year apart. Yes I didn't care full but they both are healthy and safe. Had both with out pain medication,and I was in labor for 3hrs both times. Me and my husband was the talk of the hospital

Yes it's positive because the hCG level in very very early pregnancy is difficult to detect. But even a faint line shows that you are pregnant. Just to make sure book a scan with your family doctor:) and congratulations 🥳

When I took my 1st pregnancy test I was almost 5 weeks and it faintly showed the first line then I took another test at 7ish weeks and it came out just like this the first line was really dark and predominant because you have a lot more of the hcg and then the 2nd line came the 2-3 minutes later but I already knew I was pregnant.
