In English we use words like my/mine, your/yours, his/her, our, their, and others. These are called possessives. What are these words in Italian, and how do we use them? Let's find out!

Scarpe is not a noun with special sound? I thought there were no female nouns with special sound, "le nostre" Is correct?

Feminine nouns are not treated in a special way even though they may start with S+consonant or Z. Scarpe is just like pizze. Le nostre pizze, le nostre scarpe.

When do we omit the definite article in the construction? I am not referring to use of familial nouns, but rather in sentences like "sono vostri bicchieri questi?"

I have questions: Why is it "i miei genitori" not "miei genitori" even though genitori is a family relation And why does scarpe have a female plural even though special sounds are never female??

I believe you only drop the article for singular family relation, plural family relation will need the article.

special sounds do appear in female words, but the definite article doesn't change.

It's for both cases. "Lui"= he and "Lei"=she have the same possessive adjectives in Italian, you just need to know which person are you talking about (he or she). I hope it's clear. ;)

Like he said can be both It's not the gender of the person that matters but the gender of the object that's talked about
