@@Fiatluc I'm pretty sure it will be in there. It was not implemented yet most probably, or it was on a different button from M. We will see. I'm highly anticipating this game and that excellent real-time stealth factor that it has. Plus of course the setting and fantasy behind it.
I don't understand how this game has individual concealment (enemy can only see who they actually see) and XCOM - a major AAA game - has never implemented that. Just for this reason, I'm probably going to get the game.
Mutant year Zero, is a Swedish Table top RPG with root's in the 80's and originaly it's set in Sweden where you roome either Malmö Gothenburg or my favorite(And home town) Stockholm and is produced by the Swedish RPG makers Free Leuge, those guys are just Great!
I remember playing the old version of the game, my character was a mutated human that had the unfortunate ability to constantly secrete lethal contact venom from his hands, and he saved our group from certain doom by correctly identifying a field of mutated poison ivy. He was able to do this since soup of poison green was his favorite dish, and he actually had a small field of the stuff growing behind his shack.
Black Army huh its kinda like cyberpunk 2077 if the video game adaptation of tabletop board games trend continues we might soon see a video game adaptation of dungeons and dragons
@@dionwoollaston5717 it's not even the same genre as 2077, this is a post apocalyptic world not a cyberpunk world, and it's closer to the Shadowrun 5e video game adaptation, and there is OLD D&D vid games ^^
Instead of giving out a demo to everyone... i really hate game development nowadays. 20 yrs ago, we all had a demo for every fckn game. Anyway, this looks dope!
krazyy I remember I had a gaming magazine that came with a disc featuring game demos and trailers and you could unlock game trailers in other video games that's how I discovered one of my favourites ed edd n eddy the mis-edventures
I also remember those big boxes they would have at sam's club with like 100 discs of demos for like 10 bucks or whatever. Rise of the Triad, Doom, all that kinda stuff along with some really small things too.
@@Splattercatgaming A friend of mine and I found half-a-CD with the demo for Diablo, Doom and or Quake (I can't remember which one, both, or if it was a clone(s) of either). And that's when I first met The Butcher, as a seven year old! :D
OTOH These days game reviews are far more reliable, and you can cancel your purchase within two hours of playing the actual non-demo game. Not saying demos are useless, and yeah if the game has one I *will* try it before I purchase and download the full version. But the current situation is so much better compared to 20 years ago that the only thing I miss about demos is the nostalgia value of those shareware discs Splatt mentioned.
We had CDs (and later DVDs) along with each PC Gamer. They used to put demos, trailers, stuff from the magazine, utility programs like DirectX to run these demos.
As far as the vidio game goes, mutant year zero RPG seems to be related to what perks you give your character and how you customise your weapons. Not so much about choice and consequence but of course that's only from what I've seen so far! What you said at the end portrays it a bit better. It's a good Xcom like team tactics game without the waste of time that is base management. The voice acting is really great too and I feel like Dux is exactly the kind of character you can easily get behind. But I digress, good tactics game with some character and gear customisation as well as a good story (well, from what we've seen so far anyway.
"nothing like a bunch of skeletons to put your mind at ease" That actually would put my mind at ease. Now what happens next is predictable instead of the constant existential fear of the unknown.
I know the franchise is from a book but having the duck and pig as playable characters is a really nice addition. I think the game would look generic from the front without that.
You'd most likely like the TTRPG Splatt. I've not played the new version which is of the same name as the computer game (the game setting and story is based on it IIRC, not so much mechanics). I have however played the previous editions and loved them. They were only released in Swedish to my knowledge, although I heard a rumor (to lazy to Google) that Undergångens Arvtagre was translated and sold at one point. Mutant: Year Zero however I'm pretty sure has been released in both Swedish and English. I've not read a copy yet, but seeing as it's from a studio I know well and love and that English is almost a second language here in Sweden, I can imagine the English version will have minimal, if any errors in translation. XD As always, good video and good commentary. Keep up the good work.
Damm splat and his inability to not taunt enemies. Especially when he figured out his light created a extended agro range ( I'm not actually mad at him just frustrated, just in case)
good? they have excellent voice acting imo. i remember i played the demo of a game at some kind of convention i think? and the game was interesting enough, but the voice acting was horrendous and that destroyed the entire atmosphere it was trying to create. back to the main point tho, this one looks really good. you've got me quite hyped for it.
@@infernus6278 AAA means tons of money, a publisher, and a huge team. Indie just means self-published which in itself can mean tons of money and a huge team, despite commonly not being the connotation. Maybe the line can be drawn between publishers and self-publishers? I don't think the quality of the game plays into this.
@@TobiNano There is actually some argument for a third category, "crowd funded". Inde is just short for independent, which again just means no outside influence that can affect the product via their financial control. In the case of crowd funded games, the donors often have a small amount of creative control via stretch goals that add or change potential content of the game. In this way, crowd funded games are sort of in the middle between AAA and Indie games.
totally didn't think this is what the game was going to look like based off the trailers...I was hoping for some character customization...btw I know this is a demo and things are subject to change.
Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I love me some Xcom and Shadowrun, and this looks pretty damn fun regardless, I think it would make for an amazing FPRPG, or something Like Horizon Zero Dawn...but bigger? can't wait to play it tho.
