well if you both are negative then pep is not the option for you prep is the correct choice for prevention pep is only if you feel there was exposure to hiv hope that helps pep is only temporary medicine while prep can be taken long term along with other safe sex practices together

Thanks for your work. I had a finger prick then it stopped bleeding the about 40 min later had sex with a sex worker used a condom when I was removing it forgot about the finger and happen to touch it using it, 5 minutes later I remembered and panicked rushed washed my hands and the finger I did pressed it and it started bleeding again. Prior to me pressing it was okay do you think am at risk because I don't know her status . please hell.

Hello! I started PEP yesterday and I’m afraid it can cause major problems to kidneys, liver or bone density. It must be taken for 28 days. It’s called Combivir in english which consists of one pill of AZT 300mg/3TC 150 mg twice a day. Can it damage my kidneys, liver or bones?
Hi i heard that pep in some new studies is only effective within 36 hours by decreasing risk by 80%. Thats why in new york they dont pescribe it after 36 hours . However i got exposed and took it 40 hours after the incident what are the chances there ?

I juat started at the 60 hour mark as I used no condom twice with a woman that didn't know her status but thought she was good becasue "she didnt look like she had aids" I swear thats what she said. Not saying she even has it but what an ignorant statement. Just scared me.
