I know you probably won't see this comment but please explain if you do: assuming pep locks away the infected t cells, for a month as you said, what exactly prevents the virus from replicating post-28 days? Does the virus lock them away so they die / expel from the system? Or? Because it doesn't make much sense to me. Cheers.

I had sex yet we had tested using oral quick but i feared,so i went to a doctor and got tested again through a different method and was found negative. Then i started taking pep because i doubt

*Thanks* I need help with this question. I had a (protected) sex with a sex worker (I don’t know if she’s HIV positive) but out of caution, I took PEP less than 24 hours of that sex. But I missed one day (the seventh day) and I took the 8th day pill earlier (so 48 hours) didn’t lapsed. Should I continue or it’s bust??? …. And what about scheduling? Should I take it everyday on the same hour, or being late for 5 hours or some times earlier by two means it became useless??? (I started taking it at 3PM, then 1PM, than some days at 8PM. When I missed that one day, I took it 6AM.

Today I completed my 28 days of pep ( tenofovir/emtracitabine/doultegravir) . I did not get any hiv symptoms in fact I did not get any std symptoms in this past month . Talking about the exposure, I used condom while having sex with a prostitute but her period blood accidentally slipped inside the condom . I'm very depressed although I've completed my pep regime , I'm stressed what are the chances ill still be tested positive for hiv . Did my pep regime work ? ( Note:- few days I had the medicine 1 hour or 2 hour late than usual timing , would it effect my pep effectiveness) . Thanks in advance whoever replies . Sorry for my weak Englis
