@Born free most players in college and pro bb travel, it drives me nuts, and they never call it. And when they call it, it makes so suspicious because it seems like picking and choosing
Congratulations girls!! So proud of you all!! Stay focused and positive as a person don’t listen to all the negativity to play with your feelings❤❤❤! Job well done ladies and coaches!!
As much as I’m sad my Gamecocks couldn’t pull it off - I’m super happy LSU shut down the Hawkeyes🎉🎉🎉🎉 y’all showed up and showed out🎉🎉🎉🎉 y’all deserved it
Congrats to the 2023 Women's B-Ball Nat'l Champs, the LSU Lady Tigers. In addition, much respect the the Iowa Hawkeyes on their unprecedented success this season as well. Competitive rivalry is good for the sport IMHO.
Too many rough comments here; if you saw Caitlin Clark's recent interview on ESPN, you would hear her say Angel Reese should NOT be criticized for any of her actions, and she also said a White House visit should be reserved only for the champions. So, us "adults" should take the high road also, right? Right! These kids are kids. Time will change them; time should change all of us toward a more sensitive, and quiet, maturity.
Off the floor? Uh everyone on both teams is a work in progress...they are young and have much to learn as the women's game gets more national attention.
You be you, Reese. Coach Bluder agrees. We all celebrate differently. And Carson, your shot before halftime made me jump on the sofa in disbelief. And Morris, you are a menace. And I mean that as a compliment.
@@chrislancaster1982 she’s young. As a coach, you have to work on some things over time. There’s a great interview with Phil Jackson that speaks to this. One of the funnier conversations I had with one of my Bigs was to explain to her what the defense was doing with their verbal taunts. She thought they were being mean. I laughed and said, “ No. It’s called trash talk. The defender does that to get into your head. And its workin’.” When she saw my lack of empathy and understood she was being played, she doubled down on determination. And got back in the game.
*LSU (the better team) won, great game!* When you pass to only two people all the time and one of them goes 9/22, then you lose. Smh, horrible coaching for Iowa!
@@elai3147 Lol for real...Carson came of the bench and ended up being the leading scorer. Scored more points in the championship than all the other games combined. I don't think anyone else on Iowa broke 20 points other than Clark
9/22 is misleading when almost all were threese where she shot 42% (amazing). The bigger impact was the anomaly game from Carson off the bench going 7/7 in the second quarter for 21 pts
The refs didn’t decide the game!! LSU did!! 🖕🏾 racist!! The double standard is 🤢 Let these ladies ball out and talk trash!!! This is overshadowing Clark and Reese.
Y’all do know Iowa got more foul calls and FT attempts than LSU. Stop saying the refs won this game, this lsu bench, morris locking in last half, and the team and coach mullet won this game
Jasmine was the star and wow could she shoot. Also think Alexis is humble and did a great job. These gals shined. Angel went too far in her taunting, not good sportsmanship. But, that is her. Good job to the whole team.
If you've had a chance to watch caitlin clark from Iowa play this year. She has the habit of putting her hand up in front of her face when she scored against opposing teams. If you can't take it don't dish it out. So angel reese talk all the trash you want That's basketball
Let’s be done with this Angel vs. Caitlin thing. I am not a fan of Caitlin.. I am actually a Huskie fan. And I do not know about Angel Reese, never saw her play before this final game. So I just saw what I saw and it seemed over the top. The Huskies don’t talk trash that I had seen.
@@debeklund8286 Trash talking is a part of sports! It's only a problem when society is not happy with the outcome of the winner. Check your bias at the door and enjoy the rivalries. This game was absolute treat to watch.
Kim Mulkey allegedly said fans should punch critics in the face when Art Briles and Baylor had 52 sexual assault accusations in a 4-year period. Congrats to the LSU players.😂😅
"Thank you to Iowa, for beating South Carolina so we didn't end up being cannon fodder. And to these officials, who made sure we made it the rest of the way."
This was the worse officiating game I've ever seen. From the very start, it looked like the ref's had already made up their minds who would win. If the ncaa has any honor in sports, they will review the whole game, with an open mind, and see how bad it was. Nothing will be done about it, so what's done is done. I'm not sure LSU needed so much help. They played well. But knowing how the ref's were calling everything in their favor, they pushed hard without any fear. I just hope it wasn't a race thing. These days the question will always come up.
I watched that entire game and the first half had lots of fouls but bottom-line, there were fouls called on both sides and both teams were affected by the fouls, the truth of the matter is, the Iowa coach decided to keep Caitlin Clark in when she had her second foul and it was the coach's fault she picked up her third foul when she did. You cannot blame the refs on that one, she had every opportunity to take her out. LSU's coach made sure to take out Angel Reese when she picked up her second and she sat down for the rest of the half... So if you're looking for someone to blame, blame the coach because it was her fault for keeping her in the game with that 2nd foul
Reese following and taunting Clark with the ring finger pointing was the worst display of sportsmanship I've seen in 60 yrs of watching sports. Lack of maturity and class don't begin to describe it. Coach needs to teach some life lessons. Hat's off to Carson for going off with those 3's. She blew it open in the 1st half. Refs called it way too tight for both teams. Too bad for that. These were the best refs available for this game?!
Both teams were jawing during the game. It come with being competitive. Plus, the game was very physical, which brings out a lot of emotion. For Angel, class is inspiring her team, commiting to hard work to win a national championship and eventually be a WNBA player. Everyone in the world is not here to make you feel comfortable. Your standards do not dictate everyones life.
Great job ladies dirk is a negative R NECK guys like him thought the same about Miami University winning so many championships just remember what the real thugs did on January 6 this will help keep your head up.
Angel Reese is exactly what’s needed in the world. The only typical thing about her is her black is beautiful. She’s from Baltimore not no soft suburbs. And dc md and Va our women are confident and leaders so get over your typical sad life ok. And pray

𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲. LSU Women's basketball is one good reason! There is no way that I will train my grandchildren to play sports at the high school and collegiate level.
Jasmine could have set all types of records had her number been called earlier during the second half of the game, but she yield it to Alexis for her mid-range game to close it out. Great Team chemistry!
Those are the three that brought it home. Carson gave them a big boost that changed the game. Morris fought off Iowa's comeback. And Reese was a steady anchor.
@@chhansen9813 The game is to put the ball in the basket. LSU shot 54.3% from the field and 11 of 17 from three point range. The 102 pts were the most points in a championship game. And even if refs were partial in calling fouls they don't shoot the free throws. Iowa is a great team but LSU simply had their best shooting game at the right time. For example, Jasmine who averaged 8.8 pts a game scored 21 pts in the first half. She couldn't miss. And they shot over 58% in the second half alone. Going 9 of 12 for three pointers. There were a lot of fouls called but refs have to call what they see.
@@eileeno2947 Carson was like that runner in a rely race who gives their team so a big lead that it's almost impossible to catch up and pass them. Her performance was the difference maker. But without Reese and Morris in the second half Iowa might have came back and won.
