Fell in Love, with their team play over the last 4 games, Caitlyn was lights out awesome, champions of life for sure, 💎💎💎💎💎⚡💙💙💙💙💙✌️🙏☝️💪🎯👍 , made a West guy an Iowa Hawkeye...
Iowa had the best player, LSU had the best team. Incredible performance by both teams!! These girls are making women's basketball more watchable than it's ever been, and it's only going to go up from here!
@@andrem.thomas332 i respect Reese's game, but Clark is a way better all around player. She can shoot anywhere plus the elite assist/passing. LSU won because Carson went off today and imo she was the game's mvp. Too bad that game was ruined by the awful officiating
@@andrem.thomas332 gtfoh Caitlin Clark is gonna be a superstar in the wnba Reese good but she’ll be average in the league she’s no where near as good as Clark
Thank you, David (from Des Moines) ...Today, LSU Rocked The House. Angel Reese and Jasmine Carson were unstoppable! LUV LA!! Fun Festivals, Great Food, and Kind, Gracious People!! Louisiana ROCKS!! 🤠
I’m a Gamecock fan. South Carolina born and bred; however, I can give credit when credit is due. Congrats, Hawkeyes. You all are excellent and made the Final Four a nail biter! Thanks for what you’ve done for Women’s Basketball!
Lol no she's not..how are people talking about LSU had no class but bludder didn't shake any hand after the game either. Not to mention she said her plan on the fourth quarter was to "go to Caitlyn and that's all they can do". No coach should depend on one player
Caitlin, Monica and our beloved Hawkeyes: What can I say? For many of us ex-Hawkeyes (I was there 1980-86), even though we have had many exciting highs, mostly in football and wrestling- your unbelievable group of BB wizards has simply got us absolutely riveted watching your spellbinding performances- week after week. How can we forget your winning the Big 10 tournament, and your unmatched run to the NCAA championship! Your achievements were almost unbelievable at times. Caitlin- I tell friends I have hardly seen any other player, men or women, perform pure wizardry on the BB court like you did almost effortlessly. You have given Hawkeyes moments of absolute ecstasy throughout the season; I began watching BB at college level after quite a while only spurred by your extraordinary performances. Despite the letdown of finishing one game short- we are genuinely proud of each of you, including of course Coach Bluder and the others who have raised Hawkeye women’s BB to the stratosphere. Congratulations, and continued success!
I was going for LSU this game but I have a lot of respect for Iowa! Catlyn I respect you and the Iowa team. Women college basketball gave fans a show! I was on edge of my seat SC and this championship game. Keep your head up Catlyn I’m a fan. Great job Iowa!
This press conference sums up everything I love about sports. The togetherness, playing for something bigger than yourselves, representing your school and state. Not chasing social media fame for 10 seconds of glory. They may not get a ring, trophy, or the title of champions, but they certainly get everything else associated with being one. Will certainly remember this group until the day I die.
The exhibition of a fantastic coach that teaches the right things on and off court. And the upbringing of these young ladies. Their parents and Iowa fans as a whole should be so proud of their team.
So well spoken on both parts. In my late 60s now I have to confess I have never watched a womens final four before. But this one was amazing and largely because of the play and character of the women like these two ladies.
Caitlin, you and the rest of the Hawkeyes didn't come up one win short... You made it to the National Championship Game!... A glass raised to you and everyone in the program.
@@TheTuckster123the refs called alot of fouls on both sides but that still didn't take LSUs mindset out . When the starters were on the bench the other girls came in and did awesome.. they didn't let the officials bring them down😊
Coach Bluder has a world of integrity. The responses by her Mon and Caitlin are a testament of her coach. They all took the high road in the post game. Winners and losers alike should take note of Iowa’s character.
Proud of all of you. Great season. Making it to the National Championship is a major accomplishment. You have moved Women's Basketball in the Right Direction. Caitlin, I know you will have a Great Legacy. Cheers to your coach as well.
We love you caitlin ,im a life long iowan who never cared about women's basketball till i heard about you. Much love and respect. You are the goat and the fact ur from iowa makes it better. My wrestling coach had ties to ur grandfather and Dowling. Cool to me. Congratulations Iowa Women.
Congratulations on both teams making it to the National Championship game and yeah y’all came up short but y’all didn’t give up and Congratulations to LSU on the big WIN today
Athletes are not meant to be role models....I hate when people put that on them....The role models should be the person taking care of the kids in the house and or people they see in the neighborhood on the daily...Not someone they watch on tv
So proud of this team and what they have given to women’s basketball, to the state of Iowa, and to all those young dreamers who will continue the legacy they have begun
Great season to the Law firm of Clark and Czinano and the rest of the Hawks! More people tuned into womens basketball this season for your performance this year as well as the past couple seasons! The NCAA should thank you guys(girls) for all the fan participation!!! Atta Girls!!!
The girls do talk trash but it's done most of he time the game is going on,don't think that she should have follow her around after the game was over taunting her. My oplnion
These student athletes are representing really well, especially after a tough loss! Caitlin's amazing skill had me tuning in to see what she was going to do next!
The pick and roll has never been better demonstrated than these two did in each of the games that I have seen. Both are great athletes and made for much excitement. Best wishes for both your futures which should be very bright. Thanks
*Congratulations Iowa, making it to the national championship is a great accomplishment! You girls had a great year and made women’s basketball more popular!! I’ve watched the LSU, Iowa and Utah women’s basketball teams play more than any other team this season. Congratulations to Kim Mulkey and LSU!*
So impressed by the composure, maturity, perspective, and intelligence of these athletes. They are woman of great character. Excited to see what the future has in store for them.
This Iowa team made me love ❤️ Women 's game that more . Thank you so much .Go Caitlin Clark and whole squad !!!!!!!!! We are so proud of the whole team !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤They need to pick up a tall players for 23 /24 season. Thank you so much ♥️ 💓 💗
Refs had the best team tonight. They won the game. Congrats to LSU. Congrats to Iowa. I believe we could replay this game over and over and each time the other team would win. The difference was the Early 3s.
Stop crying, so spoiled, get over yourselves geez 😂 SC didn't do all of this crying take loss, it was a Team that won tonight not just one player that comes along once in a lifetime for yall, so entitled people wow!
At 6 minute mark, the reporter spoke truth. Saying the officiating "wasn't great" is the understatement of all time...."37 fouls called is an NCAA tournament record". They need to get other jobs.
Caitlin Clark was the 1st player to remind me of Steph Curry since....Steph Curry. Heart-rending loss, but the Iowa ladies have nothing to hang their heads about. Phenomenal run. As Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard once said, in sports, you always risk experiencing the lows. But it's worth it just for the chance to experience the highs.
I grew up in Iowa, and I'm a huge WNBA fan. You made me so proud this year. This Iowa Hawkeye women's basketball team has no reason to feel that you failed. You were really exciting this year. I never watch college basketball, or I didn't until this year. I hope this big season turns into great freshmen players joining you for next season. Don't stop working to get better. When you win next year it will be even sweeter because of the way that you feel right now. I urge you to write a letter to yourself, be detailed and talk about what you are feeling right now. Then, end the letter with your goals for your personal growth for next year. > Then let it go and release the emotions for tonight and and maybe tomorrow and the week ahead. The best thing you can do is not pick up a basketball for two weeks, maybe 3. You will know what you need. Then get stronger and work on your specific goals. When you are back together as a team next season, remember the steps you have to take to get where you are today. Then get even better. Push yourself, lift your teammates, You will be National Champions in 2024.
I haven’t watched much women’s college basketball since the Cheryl Miller days (yeah, it’s been that long). That being said, this game caught my attention and I’m glad I watched it. I can see why the ratings were so high.
@@overcomer1222 the right way is having Caitlin score all of the points and take most of the shots?? LSU won with like 4 people in double figures in a Women’s College basketball game. Just say you’re a sore loser.
Props to the senior who answered that question. Respect Respect. Don’t ever blame anyone for your failures or loses. Take it like a woman or man. Which she did. LSU won the game. Please don’t blame the Ref interviewer please
Great year for Iowa (not a fan). A lot of great players who were a threat at the three point line. This team advanced women’s basketball into creating an interest with people who had no interest before.
In ‘68, i temp coached a girl’s Elem school team in NOVA. TWO-dribbles and pass, were the rules. Seeing the play that rivals the men…YOU’VE COME A LONG WAY LADIES! …Ain’t no more callin’ ‘em ‘baby!) Such a great great show of TEAM and skill from both women’s teams this tourney.
Me, too. Yes, it was a great game! This season will go down as one of Iowa women's finest... so far. 😊 It will be interesting to see how their season affects Iowa's recruitment outcome in the years to come. So proud of our Hawks! 🦅🏀
Much respect to the Iowa Hawkeyes, I enjoy the way you play the game. Monica is well respected by Coach Geno Auriemma, raves about how Monica plays the game, and as a UCONN fan I agree.......
