** And of course for the most anticipated video of the 2021 fall is the "Post Harvest Update" on the Fendt Ideal 9 combines. Better late than never just like I said on the John Deere S690 Post Harvest Update.
** Here's the video of some of the 2021 fall plugging of the back ends of the Fendt Ideal 9 combines... • Frustration...
** Here's the video of the Ideal 9 that burnt down
• Fendt Ideal 9, burns t...
** Also here's the video of the burnt Fendt combine clean up • Burnt Combine Cleanup 😁
** For alot more material such as:
Pictures, Lens, Polls, and random fun with both Mike, Ashtyn and now Chapel, then check out our Patreon Account! 🙂
Otherwise, have a great day! 🙂
www.patreon.co...
** Oh, right! I am back!
Also feel free to check out our website to learn a little more about us and check out our merchandise line, we are selling out of some merch and having issues getting restocked.
We'll also be discontinuing some lines and adding new ones with some extra cool stuff as well hopefully before Christmas. Stay tuned

I don't comment often as there are lots of "experts" with lots to say. Good on you Mike. Manufacturers need input like this to improve their products. Wizzing around for a couple of hours in a field behind the factory isn't going to cut it. I started watching your channel because of the new Fendt combine. I appreciate the no holds barred review. If Fendt or Agco doesn't like it...well too bad. Sounds like Agco is doing what they can to maintain a good relationship with a larger than average customer. Well, hate to brake it to you, but larger than average costumer is a bit bold to say. Mike, I agree with the fridge, I think there should be a rule where every piece of large equipment has the option for an included fridge and if there's still enough room throw in a small microwave or warmer to heat up your lunch or dinner. To many people don't realize how much time we spend in these machines, good majority of us live in these combines or tractors more than we do our homes

Engineering emphasis on modern farm equipment has been focused too much on electrical/computer technology and not near enough on structure/function. Components are engineered to use the minimum amount of steel and cast iron. Also I wonder sometimes if the quest for larger more productive machines to reduce labor has exceeded the cost advantage over having more operators. Each breakdown with large machines takes out a huge percentage of your production. More smaller machines wouldn’t be as critical when one was down. With a year like this one these issues really hurt when you have to consider the cost of these machines. I don’t know how you do it. Prayers for a better year next year.
@lt1nut
@lt1nut 2 года назад
A good case can be made for smaller combines that at least do not need a human on board, "preferably" autonomous. I've read a comment(s?) in a forgotten channel(s?) that the Mfgs are aware of that and it is being actively pursued. Sadly that's the extent of my knowledge on this topic.

I haven't farmed for a long time but I rarely got to operate a piece of equipment that wasn't at least 20 years old. But, I couldn't even imagine covering the amount of acres you guys can get through in a day now, that Fendt is quite a bit different than a turbo 7700 LOL. And they'd be developing and testing SOLUTIONS during the harvest. There is no better test environment. Mike I don’t know how you sleep at night. I’ve been through the issues you have been going through. A change had to happen, not going to mention the colour. You either went to bed worrying how you were going to fix the problem the next morning, or what was going to break down the next day. You said it so correct ... you need 10 combines to keep 7 going. I agree it doesn’t matter the colour they are all great when they work, but some just to seem to have more troubles then others. I don’t know how you keep your cool. Behind the scenes I’m sure the steam starts to boil. You have all the right to get upset. These machines are ridiculously overpriced, yes all the fancy warranty is nice, but at the end of the day combines sitting in the fields isn’t paying the bills.

Hi Mike we had a similar problem with O rings on our Liebarr hydraulic cranes when we had them and the problem ended up being a combination of the hydraulic cooler not being big enough and us not blowing them out with air or a pressure washer actually works better it will flush the dirt out and carry it away better than air. I rings don’t like heat we never blew them in the winter which is surprising considering the pressure exerted on them when you fire them up at -10 or -20 F and you start working the hydraulics too warm up the rams and the fluid

If you look at CaseIH they have put lot of money n talent to get where they today n just like Gleaner both are successful, some models like 230/240 have a lot wear parts but harvesting record t/hr. With Fendt it’s growing pains n push envelope of harvesting but it doesn’t take genesis to add fridge or tailor made servicing for a combine. Buying NH could solve your problem but might be problem for someone else like having problems which here we only know one farmer who has NH combine in the district. John Deere 6830.. Perhaps the X9 maybe just some clean S790's maybe Mitchell's are just saying that they want the familiarity of the Deere back.

It’s interesting what you’ve said in this video about soft metals, issues with over heating and o rings breaking.. I’m actually a mobile plant fitter that has worked on quite a few liebherr machines, I’ve found the reliability of their engines and pumps and overall performance to be unreal when they are running.. but they are constantly being stopped by a leaking hose, broken oring, metal fatigue in guards and shrouds, boiling the hydraulic oil.. it’s a shame because if they fixed the little issues with them they would be up there with the best, in some cases the best.. Maybe the Germans are starting to struggle with the physical quality of the machines.. maybe focusing too much on the electrical components to make the machine smarter rather than focusing on reliability?

The problems with the Fendt ideal combine is small potatoes. One thing is for sure is they have the thrashing machine perfected (ie. a clean sample with next to nothing for loses out the back). I would take the Fendt any day over the other brands (especially John Deere). Fendt’s thrashing system ranks right up there with Cockshutt’s 9700 combine.

Imagine a skunk getting into that. Decades ago we heard about a thresher or combine in which a skunk was pulled into it and of course it didn’t survive.

The skunk will be killed instantly. Not a problem. The problem is that the grain in that combine is now contaminated. And the combine must be de stunk. Not a simple process.

Out with the old in with the new, that JD power is what’s needed.
@allannantes8583
@allannantes8583 2 года назад
The Ideal 10 has more H P than the JD X-9 and is bigger in most other categories as well. There have been professional comparisons done between the Ideal 10 and the JD X-9 1100 and the Fendt Ideal 10 comes out ahead. Plus the Fendt is just a far sharper looking machine. I think that is mostly due to the colour. Check it out on the internet, just query class 10 combine comparisons. The Fendt Ideal 10 uses the MAN engine with 700 horse power. It is missing the steering wheel though. Oh well minor details.

Lol anyone who Says that you are running too large of headers is missing the point. There combines are supposed to be the largest capacity combines in the world, they are supposed to be meant for 55 and 60ft headers and massive corn headers. They should be built to be able to handle these conditions and expectations.

Great video. I'm not a farmer but I live in a farming area so I see the many equipment colors. It's cool because when I would take my son out we would play what's that color? What's tge brand. He loved to say Gleener. Anywho I think your honesty is justified and obviously you buy a ton of equipment. I'm sure Ideal was frothing at the mouth when you guys started buying these things. But you hit the nail on the head with the shower scenario. So thanks for that I was laughing pretty hard at that one. Just because Fendt stickers are on the side doesn't mean your getting quality like a tractor.
