The way that this subverted my expectations is hilarious. Also, the humor is rich.

The nasally teenager not wanting to tell Tetanus Bob if he had a boyfriend or not sparking this genuinely insightful and meaningful anecdote about the omnipresence of beauty in the world followed by parallel parking between a mutant kindergartener abomination and slave auction really was the highlight of this video

I love how you structured this like the intro to a game where your first major decision to join a faction has a secret 3rd option that's played as a joke ending.

Tetanus Bob is so ready to believe in the Old World that he finds meaning where there is none, such as in the flower or the cup of water. The cowboy, on the other hand, is so ready to embrace the freedom of the New World that he inadvertently supports a society clearly based on the slavery of their 'vehicles.' Both men are deluded, but the greatest sin is the young man who, in his indecisiveness, chooses neither side and suffers alone. A masterpiece.

The dynamic shots, the humour and comedic timing, the character designs, the sound design, the shot transitions, they are all fantastic! It feels like every small detail was considered and this is my favourite video of yours yet.

The joke with the longest payoff in this is at the very beginning where the text scroll mentions THE FLESH RIDERS and says ominously that they ride on steeds made of flesh and blood. Only to reveal halfway through the video that these aren't some kind of radioactive monsters, or even a metaphor for horses, but instead they literally ride on other people's shoulders.

This animation is so fu**ing cool. Not only does it imitate the look and feel of the Philips CD-i games flawlessly, but improves upon it further with a modern-er style of animation. This scene in particular 6:01 is super effin sick man. I know most of this is rotoscoped so you can kinda say that's cheating a bit. But still, this whole video is sick as hell.

That crash animation was awesome! And the transition/freeze frame made me think it would happen in slow motion… So when it didnt, I jumped a little 😅

Saw this on NG on the other day, and I just wanted to say just how much I like this short. The worldbuilding and concept is quite well developed and in an interesting day. The humour is top notch, and with the perfect timing. It's all an incredible work and I can't say just how much I like it.

The fact that nobody pointed out the cleverly Volkswagen logo on the Flesh steeds head, is so weird to me For context, Volkwagen means "people's car" and I assume that in this context Ethereal Snake used it to label him as "Wagen Volk" or something similar, which would mean he is part of the "car people"

How am I nostalgic for an aesthetic from a time I was not even alive in?

God I really love the retro style you're going with since Jesus's Betrayal. The crossfade with the audio cutout, the MS paint edges and colors with that subpixel/fractional scaling rippling effect, the animatic-like low frame rate... It's a little reminiscent of PilotRedSun's older animation style, it's really nice.

I love the color selection towards the end - Tetanus Bob has the colors of the dunes and mountains, while the flesh rider has the colors of the dusk sky and setting sun. It's fun with this style how flat colors can be clearly scattered around. Also the hand gestures had me cracking up

The end with the Flesh Rider and the Driving Instructor looking down in disappointment really got me

I like how in the end, despite having a drivable man opts to continue treating him like an equal and die by his side.

I have watched this about five times now, and everything in this video is executed perfectly, incredible framing of shots, great color, voice acting, and writing. Appealing character design and a fun story, every beat hits and i am blown away by this! Keep up the great work!

My favorite detail is at 7:00. The near-death breaths of Tetanus Bob desperately fighting death while he's giving his prophetic last words is hilarious to me. The voice acting is superb

I'd kill for this to be turned into some sort of text-based adventure...

On one side you had the driving instructor who wanted things to go back to the way they were with cars clogging the streets and the DMV being the base of society, but that only led to the way things are now. On the other hand the guy in the hat claims to advocate for choosing your own path but as we see how he treats his "steed" his idea of personal liberty is nothing more than individualist nihilism. The protagonist rejects both paths and chooses to ride off with the "steed" who he treats as an equal.

my favorite joke(?) was the credits anti-climatic ending. It's hilarious in it's own way

As funny as this was as a riff on the whole Post-Apocalypse subgenre, it also is an accurate send up of game series like 'Fallout' and 'Wasteland'. What with the way everything always seems to hinge on which faction you side with. For all the possibilities promised, the main story campaign always seems inescapable. Plus you always seem to get screwed one way or another, even if you pick the clearly good side. Even playing the freebooter doesn't get you that far, like in 'Fallout 4'.

This was absolutely excellent. It feels like a mix of somthing I'd stumbled upon at 3am and also a video game cut scene from a 90's point and click adventure where I got the mixed ending.

I wasn't expecting a lot when clicking on this video. But man oh man, I was not expecting to fall in love with a character like Tetanus Bob within seconds!! This is actually so well made, perfect balance of absurdity, comedy and adventure! Wow!
