In this video, Dr. Miller reviews his post-operative instructions following a rhinoplasty procedure.
Dr. Philip Miller recommends patients contact their physician for post-operative instructions, mainly because all physicians don't use the same post-op instructions.

Dr Miller is the most genuine plastic surgeon ever, i was just coming out of a very nasty breakup with my fiance at the time, went to see Dr miller 2days later for a pre arranged appt, the dr turned me down. He adamantly refused to do work on me. Gave me a hug & send me home. Took me a while to understand him, to this day, i have the utmost respect and appreciation for his kindness towards me. What a Remarkable Man. ❤ Dr Miller.

why did he turn you down?

@@pricklypear1111 because she made an impulsive decision to chop off her nose after a breakup, instead of cutting off her own bangs like people normally do

Hi doctor, i have rhinoplasty + nose tip lift using ear cartilage 11days ago, is it normal to have redness on the nose tip? And will it subside, if yes, usually how long does it take to subside?

Thank you so much for this video doctor! Really needed these! 😭😭😭 I just want to ask as I am in so much anxiety right now. I’m currently 2 weeks PO from a closed rhinoplasty where 3mm goretex implant was inserted for my bridge. I feel that it is too high, could it be due to swelling? and will therefore eventually decrease in height as swelling subsides? or can I say that the implant used was too big? It currently feels bony and the area surrounding my bridge does not seem so swollen. So I don’t know if my bridge is swelling. Also, I feel because of that, My radix/glabella (the space between my eyes) seems so narrow! Will it look less narrow when swelling goes down? Secondly, I had my alars trimmed. My doctor said that he did something to my nose tip by putting what he excised from my alars to my nose tip. It was through one incision only. Was that tip refinement or only for tip support? Because I’ve tried searching for such a procedure but would only read cartilages for tip projection. My nose tip right now is very swollen, rounded and hard. So I really can’t tell if anything was done to it. I am a filipina thus I have a naturally big rounded tip with thick skin. Lastly, my smile looks different because of my nose. I feel that as I smile my nose looks so stretched. I understand nose expands as we smile but right now it feels like my nose (skin) is being pulled so tight thus my smile looks “plastic” “fake” “forced”. Did my rhino permanently changed my smile? Sorry I really tried searching the web to answer these questions but to no avail as there is very little posts about asian rhinoplasty. Thank you in advance 🙏 ❤️

Dryness will last around 3-4 weeks. You can use some afrin to alleviate the dryness

I waited since 2008 to get mine and just finally got it done two weeks ago. After obbssesing for YEARS I was a lil upset to see little difference. Had bridge reduction and tip extension with cartilage graft. Expecting more newness desperately. Was honestly suicidal beginning of my 2nd week

Hi Dany, we're very sorry to hear that your results aren't what you were expecting. We truly hope you're doing well now and are in a better state of mind. You shouldn't be defined by your nose or appearance and we hope you have support around you to help you with your recovery! Keep in mind, it can take up to a year for your results after rhinoplasty and you will still have swelling impacting your present results. Since you're concerned about your results, I recommend following up with your surgeon about your concerns. Thank you for watching!

Hi, is large swelling normal still on week three/four? Thank you x
@Drphilipmiller
@Drphilipmiller 3 года назад
Yes, swelling tends to peak at day 3 and then it gradually goes down.
@Alice-pn7ep
@Alice-pn7ep 3 года назад
No sorry I asked about week three ?! X
@Drphilipmiller
@Drphilipmiller 3 года назад
@@Alice-pn7ep Sorry about that! Swelling tends to gradually go down around week 3, but it can take a good 3 months for the majority of swelling to go down. Skin contracture (how well the skin adheres to the underlying structures) can take anywhere from 12-18 months.

Doctor I had just my tip done and nasal reduced and made my tip slight up, I began with thin nose and my whole nose has swollen really wide, and can’t help but stress I’m on day 12 and my tip is very swollen, but overall my whole nose has gone very wide, and I keep thinking I went in with a thin long nose and know I came out with some what chubby miss piggy nose I apply swelling cream and tape at night but is it normal for nose to swell like this as my lower portion was only operated on please reply x
