Stretch every surf muscle in the body in under 20 minutes with this gentle yet effective yoga sequence. I personally do this sequence almost daily but when I forget to do it or get to busy my body can feel it the next day when I try to paddle out, I am far more stiff. Also a great full body stretch for non-surfers and athletes of all kinds.

Hi Melanie, first things first: Congratulations for being a mother, that's probably the most beautiful thing in the whole world :) I hope everyone involved in the family is well! And also I wanna thank you for the Yoga-Videos you did for surfing, they are awesome! I always found reasons not to continue Yoga since I didn't feel it. Now connected to surfing there is a new motivation! And at last I really like your articles about surfing and especially how you write them from a perspective as a woman in a very honest and yet (or exactly because of that?) strong way, that's very very nice and valuable for other women and men!

Hey Melanie, this is by far the best post surf yoga I’ve ever tried. Been doing this for a while, and when I get lazy and forget it to do it my body will remind me in painful ways 🤣. Thanks for posting this!

Thank you for posting this! I've been practicing yoga for a year and I can really relate to all the stretching postures in this video. I do this everyday after surfing or at least before bed on a surfing/paddling day. It made a lot of changes to how my body and muscles feel the next morning!

@@melaniewilliams7425 Truly amazing! Thought the more I'm into surfing a long board, the more I find this workout more suitable for short-boarders with lots of leg moves. As a long-boarder I feel like I need more back and shoulder stretches after a 4hr surf session 😂 Do you have any recommendations for some additional back/shoulder stretches?

I just had my very first surf lesson which was pretty tough, haven't fully mastered standing, and I know my body is going to be sore tomorrow FOR MY SECOND ONE. But I just did this exercise and I really liked it. Thanks for posting

It took me months of modification to get only the BEST poses for surfing so it could be quick and super effective. I'm glad it is working for you!

Hmm.. well I do surf every day and do these stretches to help recover. Perhaps I should say this is for intermediate yogis not necissarily beginners.

This goes way too fast for me. I feel I'm not doing the movements the right way. These type of yoga videos can even lead to injury for people without prior knowledge! Check out other teachers that actually take the time to explain you what you are doing and teach you to understand your body. Man flow yoga for example is excellent!
