I been enjoying joying your videos, Im happy as a 60 year old man , that you said not all the old people were super opinionated and rude. Those same people give me unwanted advice and opinions also! 😁I did have to get off trail at Pearisburg for injury, but me and my Tramily member are getting back on trail 9-3 so far this year I guess we are going to be a lasher now. Congratulations !! On your completion of the trail an awesome accomplishment at any age !!
I enjoyed watching your hiking videos. You are such a sweet, strong young women, I am so proud of you. You are going to do great at college and at life. Keep that smile. thank you for sharing.
Thanks for posting again, you have a engaging personality and your trail perspective was most interesting. I was surprised by your age but you soon showed you could hang in & hold your ground with the more senior hikers. My sister is a graduate of a Missouri, her degree was in journalism. Pig Ben you’re a good storyteller and an impressive individual. I think you might find that people would be interested in your life journey so keep posting. I’ll look forward to hearing from you.😊
Thanks for the rundown - I didn't start watching until late in the game so I will be re-winding to see what I missed. Great job, 2023 was a worse than average season, the rain, the smoke, the bugs, and you did it. Be proud and happy - do the next right thing (always) and have a wonderful life.

Thank you for sharing your journey/ experiences. I think that you had a great group to hike with. Hope your instructors are good. Some will quiz you on things that wasn't covered. Just me speaking from experience. College life is great. Learn all you can. Knowledge and experience is something that cannot be taken away. How ws your brother's boat race?
1:00 If you hike the PCT maybe you could do it in two years instead of one. If I was young enough to hike the PCT that's the way I would do it. I would start at the Mexican Border on whatever date I could get. I would hike the first 100 miles and stop short of the mountains. Then I would get off trail and wait for the snow to completely melt. Then I would start north again in mid to late May. Do the Sierras in July and August after all the snow melts and the water levels drop. Finish Northern California in the Fall. Then do Oregon and Washington the next year. Probably about 1,500 miles the first year, 1,100 miles the second year. It would be a nice easy pace, and avoid most of the snow and cold weather. That would be my dream hike anyway. Maybe you would like it too.
Thanks for the interesting information on your hike.i want to wish you the best of luck in college.i strongly feel you can hike any trail you decide to walk upon.all the best from saugus mass.which in the realm of trivia is about five and one half to six hours from Baxter state park.k have been there four times a long long time ago.again all the best to you and your family
Nice follow up video! Is there an outdoor club at school that you can join? The members might be interested in learning about your AT adventures. Looking forward to hearing more about your college adventures. Do you have a roommate? Or are you a commuter student?
I have a question after hearing you mention the In Reach Garmin mini. Were there any glitches? Would you recommend the Garmin or another brand for solo hikers?
The Garmin was okay. It had issues sending messages. Sometimes it wouldn't send and sometimes it would just take forever. I would even be in an open clearing and it still wouldn't work. I think that the technology might be a little too new for it to work great yet but I still enjoyed having it. It also works okay for getting accurate weather when you don't have service.
