Postpartum can be tough. Learning to breastfeed for the first time, getting postpartum anxiety, trying to get your baby to sleep... Today I am here just to chat with you like a friend. Keep in mind that this is MY experience. Yours might look so completely different and that is ok, of course. You have persevered greatly. It’s a tough haul with the difficulties you’ve been through-but there’s the key-you’ve gotten through and your advice is invaluable for some bewildered and hurting mom! (I sorely needed this info 20 years ago!)

I find chiropractors so important for my newborn. On more than one occasion I had a baby that would just cry and cry unless they were in a certain position. Chiro fixed them. To me it's a newborn/postpartum care routine.

I have to say how glad I am to see you talking about this. When I had children nobody ever talked about it. So when you crying and feeling depressed people would say oh this is post pardom depression. I pray that 1 person will by this. Blessings

Aww sweet, I agree breastfeeding hurts in the beginning, but once they learn how to latch it is so rewarding. And I also agree on the maternity pants, sooo comfy I also washed mine. My son weaned hinself when he was 18 months old and I will never regret pushing through to breastfeed him. My oldest was bottle fed, she just did not want to breastfeed.

Thanks for sharing! My baby is currently 4 weeks old and nursing is still a HUGE struggle 😩! We've had her to the chiropractor 4 times. I've gone to a lactation consultant. Everyone is telling me there's no tongue tie but this is my 5th baby and I know something isn't right. The pain and struggle to get a good latch is real 😭!!

My name is Carolina. I'm from Spain and I have two kids that are 19 and 15 years old now. We've been through a lot but everything didn't last long. I didn't think that at the time, but I do know. Just trust the Lord, pray and enjoy your baby.

I'm so glad you talked about the tongue and lip ties. Two of my three kids had lip and tongue ties aswell. It's not very known, but getting that fixed helped a lot.

Thanks for saying all this about ties. Nursing should NEVER be painful. Only people trained to see ties can diagnose a tie. No nurse, lactation consultant or chiropractor can do that.

Thank you for sharing your experience with nursing, and encouraging people to keep looking for answers when something just doesn't seem right. My sister's baby had a slight lip tie that no one picked up on until he was well past the nursing stage. Had she known about it sooner, their experience would have no doubt been 100% better. Also, you have a beautiful countenance and your baby is darling!💛

Thanks for sharing. All my babies had tongue/lip ties. We used to live in PA and had great results with East Berlin Smiles. It is hard to go through it all-and I had supply issues from it all too. I wish I had known about the herbs etc you take. My last one(#5) is 9 month old and still loves to breastfeed but also takes bottle. Keep focusing on the Lord-that is what got me through-even though at times I just cried-I loved my babies,but I just had this huge desire to have at least one baby that was "easy"-"smooth". But my prayer is that God has used it all to teach me more about Him..Love you!

THANK YOU so much for sharing about sunflower lecithin. I wish I would've known this almost 5 months ago, when my 6th baby was born. I was guided by my midwife to supplement with formula because of my milk "not being enough". At the time I felt like my body was failing my baby, and it broke my heart to introduce formula. I knew that somewhere there was a natural answer to my issue. Even though my daughter is solely breastfeed (for the last 2 wks), I can't wait to try this! And I will be calling my midwives office to share this knowledge. 🇨🇦

Hi! So the lecithin only helps with preventing breast infections, not necessarily for boosting milk supply. I did list the things that really did help me with supply underneath the video though. So check that out for sure. ☺️

I think you can buy those mesh undies off of Amazon. I got mine off of a home birth site. I loved those. This was a very helpful videos I feel like a lot of people I watch looks like they bounce right back and don’t share the hardships.

I wish someone told me that initial pain when getting your milk went away. I didn't nurse my first 2 because I was young and no one ever told me engorgement pain never stopped. My next 3 babies I nursed with no problem...once someone told me that that initial pain DOES end!

Thanks for sharing!! I like to here what supplements work! I didn't have trouble w/ milk supply w/my first baby but 2nd i did! And had no clue what to take...something i found helpful for engorgment was putting cold cabbage leaves on!! I literally smelled like a cabbage head🤭 but oh the relief!! It also helps to keep from infection too! I enjoy your content🙂

Be careful with this remedy. My IBCLC said not to do this as it can make you lose your supply. I had a friend that lost hers by using cabbage leaves too much.

Have you ever heard of Torticollis it’s where it’s a pinched muscle. My son had that from the way he was born. His digestion gets poor and the nutrition thought it’s a pinched nerve that goes to the stomach.

.....no problem with latching here, but did experience mastitis atleast* 2 times 😶 I loved the nursing experience overall though 😊 It was a 26 month wonderful experience for me.
