+Josh Gerber Not drawing 2 more cards from your deck. If only there was a spell card that allowed you to do that. But that would probably be too greedy.
THIS is why my friends and i play with Pot fo Greed at 1: For the meme-value. We have this unspoken rule that Pot of Greed must be explained loudly whenever activated.
I shall now proceed with act of activation of my magical spell playing card known as "ceramic container of the capital sin of the desire for material or economical wealth". Upon successfully executing this event, i gain the authority to subtract a number equal to that of an even prime number from my main playing card deck and total them to my current playing hand, regardless of the current turn phase in which this playing card has been utilized.
Not that the original didn't use Pot of Greed, but GX went into overdrive with it. It is a good card to use in any deck (aside from Kiryu's no hand Infernal deck) so it is understandable that people would use it. That said, we didn't need to hear what it does every...single...time.
The Ultimate Duel: "I just drew Pot of Greed which lets me pick up 2 more cards!" "Grr. Watch the pro! Pot of Greed! I pick up 2 cards." "Fine! I activate my Pot of Greed! So I'll draw 2 cards!" "Enough talk, I activate the spell card Pot of Greed! This lets me draw 2 cards!" "My favourite! Pot of Greed! 2 more for me!" "It's payback time! I'll start by playing Pot of Greed! So now I get to draw 2 more cards!" "Then I'll play Pot of Greed, so I get 2 more cards! And whaddya know, it's my Pot of Greed spell card!"
If youtube has taught me anything, it's that voices that don't sound like they belong in their owner's body are more common than we realize. Take Dylan from Clueless Gamers for example. He has this somewhat deep and charismatic voice but he's one of the scrawniest grown men I've ever seen. As for that last question, they probably thought it would be funny to have this guy who is ripped as fuck with scars all over his body talk like Elmer Fudd and have a high-pitched voice (which kind of is. I at least feel the desire to laugh which is more than you can for most of 4kid's stuff).
ahem......"takes a stand" I'm afraid to disappoint you m8 but....that voice your hearing is actually goku's, and no that's not a joke. That is the voice of goku making that retarded voice. XD
I find it funny how the very first time they use pot of greed in the show they don't explain what it does, and then every other time after that they do, it should be the other way around there 4kids
Just in case you didn't know, Pot Of Greed is a magic card, and in using it, I am allowed to then draw two more cards from my deck. And what do you know? Using my magic card Pot Of Greed, I can now draw yet two more cards from my deck, due to the ability from my magic card Pot Of Greed, which let me draw two cards.
scarlet night and then find a divine card from your old graveyard, special summon it in face up or down in attack or defense and you can stack its attack an extra fold per ritual monster you sent to the Graveyard by this. Screw the rules, cos fusion dimension
.The card Pot Of Greed in the trading card game known as yugioh allows you to perform the following manouver. When the card is activated provided no player chains another card to change or negate the effect , in order to proceed with the normal gamestate in the standard ruleset of the Trading Card Game Yu-Gi-Oh the following actions are performed by the player who proceeded to activate Pot Of Greed. Place your fingers on the top of your main deck. Gently grab a card and slide back and place it on the table/mat near your main deck , but not in such a way to confuse them with set spell and traps , whether you do or do not have set spell and traps. Then repeat. Afterwards add the cards to your hand and continue to play the game , provided no player gave up/scooped. That is of course unless you are playing in the Yu-Gi-Oh Trading Card Game World Championship where you are not actually allowed to give up , so there only option 1 , continuing the match is possible. This is all of course in a hypothethical situation where you were able to sneak up a banned card into what would otherwise may or may not be a legal deck.
it has been 20 years now and i’m still studying and researching on what Pot of Greed actually does till this day even with quarantine still in place i still can’t seem to figure out what pot of greed does
I don't think anyone introduced in Season 3 played it (Jesse and the other transfer students). Though I think by the time that season was airing, the card was finally put on the ban list.
Okay does no one in the anime run “Jar robber”? I’m not actually sure if that’s its name, but I know there’s a card that negates pot of greed and it’s user draws one card. Does no one really ever use that?!
It allows me to take two cards directly from the top of my own deck and add both of them directly to my own hand without shuffling the deck or discarding any cards from my hand to the graveyard. Directly after activation, Pot of Greed is sent to the graveyard where it cannot be returned to the hand, field, or deck, unless by a card effect that allows such a card to be returned to the hand, field, or deck.
It was also banned for tournament reasons. Imagine every player there running 3 PoGs in a deck. And few players recycling it to use it again. Yes, it's gets way more annoying in real life.
4:09 The producers suddenly decided to make the Pot of Greed hologram laugh menacingly. 5:17 That time it was the hologram of the card and not the pot that laughed lolwut
