Operated from a slumber setting, an ESSE cast iron hotplate takes minutes to heat up ideal when you are time-starved and you have hungry guests to feed. The potato hash is browned using ESSE's built-in grill. All ESSE electric range cookers feature an integrated full-width grill with independent control. The dial for the grill is neatly housed on the control panel. Located in the top oven, the grill is enhanced by the already hot oven which helps to reduce grilling times and thereby reduce energy consumption. It has a safety function that turns off automatically after 30 minutes. On closing the oven door after grilling, the heat is retained by the insulated oven thus reducing the load on the oven element.
