I love how clearly it's visible that they use blinking in order to swallow (pushing the eyes down), and breathe by wiggling their throat rather than using their ribs (frogs don't have a ribcage). I just want to give them some gentle pets
Yeah, I totally get what you mean! It's really cool to see all those little details they do. That's why I try to get some nice up-close shots with a good camera, so everyone can check out their quirky habits and movements.
@@q-miiproductions878 That's the thing, they don't really have ribs! Look up a frog skeleton, it's pretty freaky. Very strange pelvis, and the skull has way less bone than skulls usually do.
Yes! I’ve never given a thought to frogs, but I desperately wish they were more prevalent in the hobby over here in the US, I’d love to have a few. Those lil butt cheeks! That adorable grumpy face!😭😭😭 Never thought a frog could be this cute.
I don't think they're full round because they're full with air? I mean, aside from the regular amount of air in their lungs. I was curious and tried to look it up and according to a legit sounding Tumblr user who looked into science on the rain frog, it's actually MUSCLE mass making the frog this round. I suppose these frogs did not skip leg day! :D
thank you for the shed segment, it was really cool! and your little taters are such great eaters, i've seen some struggle or lack interest but your tots are true hunters!
I wonder how it feels from the bugs perspective, like imagine just chilling with your friends and then one by one, you lose reception with them as they all get eaten, bugs use antennae to communicate, so I'd imagine it's like a radio frequency and you lose connection with one another when you'd normal always be connected.
I adore these guys, thanks for sharing. I'm tripping out because of the microscopic bugs (baby termites?) on that piece of wood! They are so tiny -- I don't think I would want them in my house lest they escape, multiply, and create an infestation...
They are termites. I am keeping them in a plastic case without holes, so they cannot escape. If they did escape, it would be a disaster for my house...
I used just a single camera but changed the angle and position frequently to capture the potato fairies from different perspectives. I'm glad you enjoyed the multiple viewpoints and editing style!
@@NinjaFrog777 I did enjoy the editing and different angles, but I was talking about the music! This is the first time a video has been long enough to play the rest of the album :p
These frogs are called desert rain frogs, they are naturally this round. Their lifespan ranges widely from 4-15 years! They originate from Namibia and South Africa.
