I think the Outlaws could benefit from having a following support series with restricted costs. I know this was tried a long time ago but I think it could work now. There are whole swathes of 360 cars that could join a national series and benefit from the Dirt Vision coverage. Stock 360 motors with a high weight limit should do the trick.
There’s been talk about sprint car silly season ramping up but it’s all about potential rookies and HL defections. I’m curious if any WoO regulars will be on the move after the season. Great show
I stopped after the race Friday night and let him know he did great for the 1st time on the Grove. Very nice young man. I think he like the Grove a lot 👍
Does anybody know what is going on with Paulie Colagiovanni? I saw the car he drove was at Weedsport last night, but I did not hear any mention of him. I looked through the internet and could not find anything regarding his absence. I was impressed with his driving over the last couple of years and was bummed not to see him.
It's interesting you mention how we'll have to see how High Limit teams have faired at the end of the season which is true. I'm much more concerned however with the back half of the Outlaw teams. They've got to be suffering from a lack of operational cash flow with all of the rain out cancellations and lack of results. I think both series will be swapping the back half of the field at some point but that's how that goes...
Nice hat! Does anyone else think that High Limit should do more to preserve and pay homage to the ASCoC name? It was a major series for 53 years, pretending it didnt exist is disrespectful. A website, museum, even just mentioning it and the history from time to time.
No ,it was pretty clear that HL wasn't going to be ASCoC 2.0 from the start, they purchased the the infrastructure because it was a good package deal is my guess.
@@tyler7433 right, but I feel like they could at least honor or pay homage to it in some way. That series made a lot of peoples careers and has a deep history that shouldnt be forgotten.
@@shamansharvest96 that's not their responsibility though, thats for tracks/regional racing clubs to handle if they feel that way. like would you hang up a memorial plaque in your house for the person who built it in the 50's , raised their family there, then sold the place when they when to a retirement home... probably not.
@@DIRTRACKR I'm really looking forward to next year's World of Outlaws Nos Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season I've already made a decision to go full-time winged spring car racing next season after doing five years with the World of Outlaws Case Late Models which I'll finish out this year and keep up the good work the content is awesome
Can I make a thumbnail suggestion. The orange at the bottom is kind of confusing and almost looks like the red bar that goes across once you have watched a video.
I don't think Days move was a payback...he isn't Aahh, he hasn't done that many laps yet & my thoughts are he slid up like a sprint car .but these cars are a little bit longer...he messed up, that's part of his learning curve. ( He looked good! I wanted him to just finish- bring it home) He will, oh he will. 😊
My guess is the RSR #8 lets Eliason go after the nationals and skips the HL west coast swing. Been a rough year for Zeb Wise as well, but that car likely stays HL. I think Garret Williamson is closer to a national tour with his team than you might think. I think Tanner Holmes spends one more year in the family car, but spends next summer in the Midwest and then goes on one of the tours the following year. Pretty awful year for Bayston in the CJB car as well. I think Haud has turned things around enough to be safe in the #17. Macedo is safe as well. I'm wondering if Schatz and TSR continue, even with his resurgence this season. I'd look for an engine change at a minimum there.
Schatz has 3 wins thats a pop up shower at best, Donny is done and been done for years now he gets 3 to 5 wins a year and i cant see TSR contantly being just a field filler for much longer. Donny on the pole is not even a threat anymore and to top it off he cant qualify worth a damn
@@choiceclay5310 top 10 at what? Dont want to argue but passing cars and finishing runnerup is not winning races and that is what he did for years until Brad Sweet came along and dethroned him and then the switch to Ford has defeated him more then anything and then losing Ricky Warner really hurt him and he has just been average since. Look at all the front row winning happening in Woo but when Donny is on the pole he cant win so where does he go from here other then get out of Fords or get a new car chief and hope for the best cause he isn't Sammy or Steve who kept winning at a high rate in there 40's and 50's ,Donny will go down as one of the greats who fell out of the seat in his 40's . Last thing its not like he is racing in a jason sides or bill rose 5th tier race car, he is racing for TSR so more then enough funding is there but he isn't 🏁
@@landonford9634 I would like to know why you think this? Is it Because he does RU-vid videos and you watch them so because of that you think he’s gonna go outlaw racing as you said? lol not sure you understand how much money and manpower it takes to go on a national tour but I don’t think tanner Holmes parents have them type of resources.
Ot sounds like the Outlaws are doing some recruiting for next season...just my opinion. Maybe offering some more incentives to come over. Their roster definitely took a hit this year bc of HL...and the HL racing has been way better..might be smart to think about next yr now.
David Gravel has matured as a driver and that progression is finally paying off. His team are giving him a great car, but it's his car placement on track, choosing the right lines and placing the car in the right areas to get drive, are the areas that Gravel has improved on as a more mature driver, and that change has seen him become more like a Sweet or Schatz. I relation to Cory Day. Until he learns and matures as a driver and that may come with age, you will continue to see poor judgment and car placement decisions being made. Sure, the young fella is fast but his decision making and judgment can be very poor at times in a sprintcar and as progresses into pavement racing.
@@mikeboos9907 High Limit drivers can race anywhere they want on off nights so effectively they have MORE races they can hit throughout the year than the Outlaws do. Also with the weather this year cancelling so many Outlaw shows High Limit teams are doing just fine in comparison with guys like Jacob Allen racing more than almost anybody across the country. The High Limit teams love the limited schedule. I talked to many of them myself, in person and they all were big proponents of the way the schedule is setup.
@markpolacek7840 inconsistent lately. Is what I said. You gotta think, not only is DG on a hot streak, but he's crazy consistent all year. It's a legit question based upon his 100-point drop in the past month or so.
@@JohnMiller-qo4ss Carson is still learning. Look at B. Sweet, he did not become 5X champ over night. Just think if he was still with the Outlaws hmm...
@muffinknight8101 That's a good question, I don't really know. I'd honestly prefer Carson to stay in the 41. He's good, just not always consistent, and that's always going to present an issue. I know there's been a lot of turn-over at JJR in the past few years, and that's not good for a young driver. I purely wanted to see if there were any rumblings of him losing his ride. With the way the major touring late model series have been ousting drivers or drivers leaving their rides it makes me curious to find out if competitive sprint car drivers are at risk of losing their rides, too.
